Word spread quickly throughout Arula, "King Termis dethroned, all slaves are to be free and their rights to be restored." It spread like wildfire. Some people rejoiced while others didn't exactly like the idea. As for Karma, she spent the last few weeks getting everything together. She had spent most of the time making sure the royal guard's loyalty was to her and to whoever will be the next ruler of Arula. Most of them say they serve whoever wears the crown. Those who weren't so loyal were immediately fired from their position and were taken out of Shurli and relocated.

Karma still suffered from the temporarily wounds. She now had a huge bruise from where Termis had kicked and stepped on her. Just perfect, Karma thought, bitterly as she gazed at the bruise. Karma sighed as she continued to dress.

Days later, word had received to Karma and Omar that Mika and Hope were found in Portside, living as slaves to a house of nobles. Two trusted guards were to escort them here at once. As for all the other slaves, they were liberated and were to be brought back to their homes immediately. Karma was surprised and not so surprised to find slaves here Shurli. Elves, dwarves, a few sprites, a couple of ogres and goblins, and some gnomes, which Karma had no idea how someone could enslave a gnome since they live at the very edge of the Elven Clan. Karma had set them free and told them to head back to their clan and their families, without causing any trouble at the villages they may past. She mainly directed that statement at the ogres and goblins.

A few weeks earlier, Dennis, Alice, and Star were brought back to Shurli and given rooms within Shurli Palace. Karma only saw them a few times during the time she tried to get things back in order. She told them once everything was settled, they would head back home.

Karma had received word from one of the guards that all the council members were placed in the dungeons by Termis the first year of him being king. She had told the guard to release them and made sure that they were given fresh clothes, water, and food. It done almost immediately.

The next month was a bit easier. Everything was beginning to fall into place and Karma felt a bit more relax. She and Omar stood on the balcony, watching the people of Shurli going about their business. Karma sighed deeply, letting the cool winter air going in and out of her lungs. "Busy month?" Omar joked.

"Something like that," Karma said back. She looked down at her satchel, where she kept her book. Karma patted it to make sure that it was still there, it was. Karma had found it in Termis' old room in his locked desk drawer, along with her portal orb.

"Well, be lucky that it's all over." Omar said, as he scanned that crowd below. Karma knew who he was searching for. Mika and Hope. They should be here any day now and Omar was getting anxious to see them again.

"They'll be here," Karma said. "Don't you worry." Omar smiled at his friend and continued to watch the crowd.

"I know," he said. "I just worry, that's-" he cut himself off as his eyes focused on two figures making their way toward the castle entrance. "Mika." Omar whispered.

Karma looked down as well and saw the familiar raven-haired elf. She carried her child, Hope, who much like her mother, though the child's white hair stood out. "Do you wish to be alone when you met them?" She asked. Omar smiled.

"No, you should come. Mika will be overjoyed to see you again, and I would love for you to eet Hope." Omar said as he continued to watch his lover and daughter enter the castle.

"Go," Karma nudged him. "I'll be there shortly." Omar gave Karma a thankful look and went to meet his family at the entrance. He ran at first, then he jogged, and then he slowed when he reached the doors. Mika stood there at the doors with her daughter in her arms. They stood there for long moments, just staring at each other. Omar was the first to break out into a smile and tears glistened in his eyes.
