Second post in a row!! I've never been this productive xD Anyway, hope you guys enjoy this too, I know it's been forever since I posted the first part to this. There are definitely many more parts to come for this miniseries. I'd wanted this one to be longer but had to cut it off here otherwise too much would've happened in one chapter. Let me know what you guys think so far! :)

Newt hadn't slept very much the night before, feeling extremely guilty and selfish for what he'd unintentionally managed to do. The fact that his affections for you were at a much deeper level also made him feel horrible. He'd sat in the common room, worrying for a little while before he decided it was time to head to bed.

He was currently making his way to your dormitory, trying his best to not be caught. His cheeks reddening at the idea of anyone catching him, knowing that they'd definitely get the wrong idea of what he was doing. But, luckily he went unnoticed. He'd wrapped up his Hufflepuff scarf that you'd been wearing yesterday and had attached a note to the top of it.

Just as he was about to set the scarf down where he was sure you or some one else would see it, the door to your dormitory swung open. Out walked Patricia, who upon seeing Newt instantly gave him a menacing glare. Newt gulped and shuffled back a few steps, he'd dealt with an angry Patricia before and that was definitely not easy. She quickly shut the door behind her, making sure no one else, specifically you, had seen Newt.

"Newton Artemis Fido Scamander!" she whisper shouted at him as she advanced towards him, "I am absolutely furious with you!"

Newt was a decent amount taller than Patricia but still felt a bit terrified at the way she was stepping towards him. He lifted up his hands in mock surrender till she stopped in front of him.

"Would you care to explain to me, why (Y/N) was so upset yesterday?" she asked, narrowing her eyes at him.

Patricia had been friends with you since first year as well and by association she became somewhat friends with Newt. It hadn't been easy, because she'd been wary of him, as the rumors had started to run rampant about the school. You'd tried to show her that none of those were true but she didn't realize that herself until third year. After which she felt absolutely horrible and apologized profusely to Newt. Ever since then she'd been immensely kind and loyal to him and someone he could depend on.

"Um," Newt sighed, looking down at his feet, "that would be m-me."

"Exactly what happened?" she asked, crossing her arms.

Newt relayed the entire story to Patricia, at least what he understood of it. Patricia, however, was putting the pieces together from what you'd told her in the past and what she'd gotten out of you this morning. Her gaze softening and her demeanor becoming much more like her usual self, when it came to you she was extremely defensive, a fierce friend.

"I'm sorry," Newt said, glancing at her, "I didn't mean for any of it to happen, but (Y/N) is justified in how she feels. I'd even understand if she chose not to speak with me anymore, I-I've been a terrible friend."

"Newt," she said, soothingly, "don't be so hard on yourself. We all mess up every now and then, but you have to promise me your going to try to fix this."

"I can't guarantee anything," he sighed, running a hand through his hair, "I really hurt (Y/N)."

"Like I said, don't be so hard on yourself. In some ways she's equally as responsible," Patricia said, silently furious with you as well.

"Um," Newt furrowed his brow, looking questioningly at Patricia, "I fail to see how any of this is (Y/N)'s fault."

"Trust me," she gave him a small smile, "Is that for (Y/N)?"
