Hey guys!! So here's part 3, finally!! I definitely procrastinated on homework all this weekend and chose to work on this instead. Probably not the best idea, but I just really wanted to get this done. So I hope you guys really like it! Now I'm off to go dig myself out of this pile of homework that has accumulated xD Enjoy!!
For the past few days Newt had been trying his hardest to find you and once you were aware of his intentions of speaking to you, you made sure he never did. It may have been cruel of you but there was no way you could speak to him knowing he didn't feel the same, at least not for some time. You'd asked Patricia to help you hide but she made it clear she was going to have nothing to do with any of this. She wished you would just talk to him, it was hard watching everything unfold from the sidelines.
Leta was in a similar situation. She still had no idea what was wrong with Newt. She knew something was going on but Newt tried his hardest to make it seem like things were okay. It might have fooled her if he hadn't been so distracted every time they were either researching or observing the creatures. She wanted to make another trip into The Forbidden Forest, but without Newt being completely focused and invested in the tasks in front of him it wouldn't be a good idea. But now she was going to get to the bottom of this. No progress would be made in her elaborate plan that she'd been looking forward to for ages unless Newt was back to his usual self.

Newt hoped he'd have better luck finding you today. Every time he thought he'd seen you, you were gone before he could even attempt to follow you. You were very thorough in making sure you wouldn't run into him, your usual schedule of when you returned and when you left the common room was no longer how it used to be. You were never at the places you usually liked to spend your free time. But, he wasn't going to give up that easily.
Newt spotted Patricia and quickly jogged to catch up wit her.
"Patricia!"
"Oh, Newt!" She was a bit startled by his sudden appearance, "Any luck?"
"Unfortunately not," Newt's shoulders slumped a bit as he stood in front of her, "Did you see her at all today?"
"I'm sorry Newt," Patricia really was sorry, "I haven't seen her at all today."
"Oh..." Newt began to feel a bit disheartened, "Th-that's alright, I'll just... keep trying."
"I'll try to be on the look out," she replied, gently patting his shoulder before walking away. But just as she began moving forward, she abruptly stopped and turned around.
"Wait, Newt!" she rushed back to him.
"Yes?"
"I do remember her mentioning something about quidditch! I'm not sure when or where or anything but she did mention that the other day!"
"Thanks!" Newt replied over his shoulder as he hurried along.

According to the practice schedule that was posted, the Hufflepuff team wasn't set to practice at all today. So Newt saved himself the trip down to the quidditch pitch, hoping to run into someone on the team instead.
He was hoping for one of the kinder people, the ones that were at least civil towards him. But just as his luck would have it, Titus would be the person he'd find. But if it meant he could find you and fix everything he'd do it no matter what he had to do.
