Rebecca's POV

-

"Hey baby," he says as I approach him and butterflies swarm around in my stomach.

"What are you doing here?" I ask him curiously.

"Well, you'll just have to wait and see," he states simply and hands me the flowers.

"Thank you, these are so pretty," I smile.

"You look gorgeous," Colby complements and I blush.

"Thanks," I say quietly. "You don't look too bad yourself."

"Okay, I'm gonna have to blindfold you," he says as he pulls out a bandana from his back pocket and I groan.

"It's only for a second," he assures me with a laugh and ties it around my head and I can't see shit.

"Here, this way," he says as he grabs my hand and leads me forward.

"Okay, here we go," he says, stopping. He goes behind me and unties the bandana. In front of me lays a blanket spread out over a flat part in the sand surround by a few small candles. A pizza box sits in the middle as well as two plates and vase to put the roses in. Wow, he really thought this through.

"Colby, this is so beautiful," I smile and he wraps his arms around my waist.

"You're so beautiful," he whispers and his lips connect with mine softly.

"Gross!" Sam screeches and I jump away and almost scream.

"Sam?! What are you even doing here?" I yell and he laughs.

"I was on pizza duty. Had to make sure no body stole this fine pizza," he states as he steals a slice from the box.

"Hey! Get outta that," Colby scolds and Sam laughs with his mouthful.

"Sorry guys, I'll leave now," he says and walks back down the beach.

"Thank you Colby," I tell him as we sit down onto the blanket.

"It was nothing," he states with a smile and I place a piece of pizza onto my plate.

"How was your day?" He questions as he takes a bite out of his pizza.

"Really fun, Sam and I walked down Hollywood Boulevard. Oh, and we ate at this place called Tender Greens," I tell him and crosses his arms.

"You ate at Tender Greens without me?" He growls jokingly and I nod my head trying not to smile.

"Yup." I say nonchalantly and he huffs.

"What did you do all day?" I ask him.

"Well um, I went to the florist, then I went to the mall for a little bit. Then I um, well, I tried to cook..." he trails off and I can't help but giggle. "Don't laugh at me," he groans and I smile.

"Yeah, I tried to make dinner for us but as we both know, I can't cook for shit. I have no idea why I thought that was a good idea but I almost burnt the apartment up. So I just ordered pizza," he tells me.

"Sounds like you had a rough day," I say and he sighs.

"A little," he admits with a laugh, "but it was all worth it for you," he adds with a cheesy grin and I smile at him.

"Come here," he says and I crawl over to him and lay beside down beside him.

"It's so peaceful out here," I tell him and he agrees.

"Yeah, it really is. Was this okay for our first date?" He asks.

"Yes, it was amazing. I loved it," I tell him truthfully.
