Rebecca's POV

-

"You look absolutely stunning," he complements as I approach him. I feel the heat rising to my cheeks.

"Thanks, you look really nice too," I tell him and I finally meet my eyes with his.

"Happy birthday baby girl," he whispers, his face about an inch away from mine. I smile as he leans in the rest of the way and kisses me. His lips linger on mine for a moment before he slowly pulls away.

"You ready?" He asks, grabbing my hand and I nod. I intertwine my fingers with his and we proceed to walk out the door.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow," Sam announces from the kitchen.

"Okay, Bye Sam," I tell him.

"Bye!" Colby calls from the doorway.

"So, where did you say we're going?" I ask Colby on the ride down on the elevator.

"A place called 'Gustoso', it's a really fancy Italian restaurant a little bit out of town," he informs me and I nod.

"That sounds really nice, I love Italian," I tell him happily and he smiles.

"Me too, I'm starving," he replies placing a hand over his stomach and I nod my head in agreement.

He opens the door to his car for me and I climb inside. He gets in on the other side, starting the car and turning up the heat. I turn on the radio and Ed Sheeran plays through the speakers lightly as we pull out of the parking lot and onto the highway.

"How long does it take to get there?" I question with curiosity.

"About twenty minutes," Colby answers and I nod. He places a hand on my thigh and I put one of mine over his.

"I love you," he says, smiling over at me.

"I love you too," I smile, "thank you for taking me out tonight."

"Becca, it's your birthday, it's no problem," he tells me and I just nod in response. The next fifteen minutes are spent in a comfortable silence until we pull up to the restaurant. It looks really fancy from the outside and I can only imagine how the inside will look. I climb out of the car and Colby frowns in front of me.

"What?" I ask him confused.

"I was gonna open the door for you," he pouts and I laugh at him.

"What do you want me to do, get back in the car?" I ask him jokingly and he nods. I roll my eyes at him.

"The things I do for you," I groan sarcastically and a grin spreads across his face. I get back inside and shut the door. Colby opens it and extends a hand out to me.

"My lady," he states and I giggle at him as I get back out of the car.

"Why thank you kind sir," I say and he chuckles.

"Okay, you ready to eat now?" He asks and I nod. I intertwine our fingers and we walk inside of the restaurant.

"Wow," I whisper under my breath. The light painted walls decorated with large, sophisticated paintings surround the neatly set black table tops. Small, leafless tress are placed around the room decorated in fairy lights. Everyone in the room is dressed nicely as they sip on their champagne and carry on small conversations. This place is breathtaking.

"Reservations for Cole Brock," Colby tells the hostess at the front of the room and she looks down at the list in front of her before smiling up at us.

"Mr. and Mrs. Brock, right this way," she says and my cheeks turn a light shade of red. Mrs. Brock, I kinda like that. I wonder if I'll ever actually have the pleasure of owning that last name.
