Colby's POV
-
I look over at Rebecca's sleeping body. She looks so peaceful and I don't want to wake her, but I guess I have to.
"Becca," I say lightly shaking her and her eyes flutter open as she sits up in her seat looking around a little.
"We're home," I tell her and she nods before unbuckling her seat belt and climbing out of the car, still holding the roses I gave her. She's adorable when she's sleepy.
When we get up to the apartment, she simply tells Sam goodnight before heading straight into our bedroom, flopping down on the bed. She doesn't even bother changing before she starts falling asleep.
"Don't you wanna change? That can't be comfortable," I ask her.
"No, I'm too lazy," she groans, already half asleep. I laugh lightly as I shake my head at her. I walk over to the bed, unbuttoning her jeans and sliding them down her legs and surprising, she doesn't protest. She kicks them off, removing her shirt and throwing in across the room. I feel my cheeks flame and I cough before walking over to my dresser, pulling out one of my shirts. I help her slide it over her head and she casually unclasps her bra, pulling it out, and slinging it across the room as well before falling back on the pillow.
I leave the room for a moment, taking the flowers and putting them in a vase, filling it up with water.
"What all did you two do today? She's exhausted?" I ask jokingly after sitting the vase down on the kitchen counter and walking into the living room. Sam chuckles lightly and shrugs.
"I don't know man, we just ate and walked around Hollywood," he states simply.
"I'm glad you two got to spend some time together today," I tell him truthfully. I kind of feel bad because I feel like I'm taking Rebecca away from him a lot more. She just moved here less than two weeks ago, and they haven't spent all that much time together.
"Yeah, me too," he responds. "You will treat her the way she deserves, right Colby?" He randomly asks.
"Yeah, of course, you know that. She means everything to me," I tell him and he nods.
"Yeah I know. It's just Rebecca's like a sister to me and she deserves everything in the world. All I want is for her to be happy again," he states.
"I know, I promise I will do everything I can to make her happy," I say and I mean it.
"I know you will...but hurt her, and I'll kill you," he says with a smile, but I can sense the seriousness in his voice.
"I know. Well, goodnight," I tell him as I start walking towards the bedroom.
"Night dude."
When I walk back into the room, Rebecca is sound asleep and I smile down at her. I strip down to my boxers and throw on some sweatpants before crawling into bed slowly, trying not to wake her. She stirs a little bit but doesn't wake. I carefully wrap my arms around her and she scoots closer to me, burying her head into my chest.
"I love you," I whisper softly into her hair and find myself drifting off as well.

I wake up in the middle of the night burning up. I carefully unwrap myself from Rebecca and check the time on my phone, 3:12. I sigh as I roll out of bed and go to use the bathroom, then heading to the kitchen to get a glass of water. I lean up against the counter, sipping my water and I swear hear faint sounds coming from my room but I they stop so I brush it off.
"No!" Rebecca cries and I quickly put my glass down before rushing back into the bedroom. Dammit, I shouldn't have left her alone.
