Chapter 34

Mika's POV

As I walk towards my place, in my room of course, I just can't stop myself in saying swear words. Tangina totoo ba toh? I saw a bunch of flowers in my chair. Different kinds of flowers pero pinaka marami yung roses, but only green and red. I also saw a huge bear, panda to be specific, on my chair. Literal na malaki, kasing laki ko nga ata or a little bit bigger than me. It's not the only thing that I saw, may nakita rin akong heart-shaped na ferrero rocher na hawak nung panda. When I was about to get the chocolates, a strum of a guitar got my attention.

I look at the person behind the guitar.

It was Ara.

Gusto ko siya lapitan. I just want to hug her. I miss her, so much.

Pero bigla siyang tumigil sa pags'strum ng guitar and gave me a stop sign using her right hand. Kaya tumigil ako and then she played her guitar again. Her mouth opened and then she started to sing.

Her voice is definitely a music to my ears. I can't take my eyes off her. Parang may magnet sa mata niya na lalong naaakit ako. But still, I like it. I like the feeling that I'm having right now. I can't explain it but I know it's different, it's the best.

Shall I stay

I can't understand the lyrics so much. But I can feel the message that she wants me to feel. I don't know kung bakit niya yun sinasabi sakin but I don't have any time to think about it because all I know is that, I love this moment, it's a treasure to keep.

I didn't realize that my eyes are welling up until my vision got blurry. I wiped my tears away. Gusto ko makita si Ara, kaya please lang luha, wag kang epal. Habang tumatagal mas pabilis ng pabilis yung tulo ng luha ko. I saw Ara looking at me as if saying 'why are you crying? Did I do something wrong?'. I just smiled and whispered, 'no'. She smiled ear to ear while singing after that.

I curiously looked at her as if saying 'may kulang ka atang lyrics?' but instead of answering me. Lumapit siya sakin, she smiled with teeth and looked at me with her chinky and glittering eyes.

I closed my eyes. Panaginip ba toh? Bakit niya kinanta toh? I lot of questions are playing inside my mind but when I opened my eyes again. She smiled again.

Ara: Ganda ba?

Mika: HAHAH sabihin na lang natin na at least you tried

Ara: Ay grabe umiyak ka nga eh!

Mika: Excuse me! Nagulat lang ako kasi ganyan pala ka pangit boses mo

Ara: Wowwww nag salita ang maganda ang boses!

Mika: I'm not saying anything.

Ara: Oh before I forgot wala ka pa lang class ngayon

Mika: Huh?

Ara: Tinawagan ka ni Jeff kagabi pero tulog ka kasi eh kaya ako yung sumagot. Sabi ko tulog ka kaya sabi niya ipasabi ko na lang sayo na walang class ngayon kasi my urgent meeting daw yung mga psychology professors ngayong umaga.

Mika: Eh bakit nasa labas si Jeff kanina?

Ara: Like what he said nga sayo, nagpalagay siya ng letter sa locker nung girlfriend niya. So I told him na why not tulungan niya naman ako sayo.

Mika: So you mean?

Ara: Yes it was all planned buti na nga lang at kaibigan ko si Manong Chris kaya pinaopen ko muna tong room para sa surprise ko sayo.

Mika: Wait what about the roses? Sa room ni Kim?

Ara: It was also planned hehe buti nga nag-offer si Kim to help me. Halika alis na tayo wala ka na namang class ngayon diba?

Mika: Wala na, Ikaw?

Ara: Wala na rin pero later after lunch may draft for PSL

Mika: Oh yes I remember kaya pala #VSGForF2 is trending a while ago.

Ara: Haha yah I saw that. Pwede alis tayo after that? Mga 3 hours lang naman yun. Movie na muna tayo sa dorm.

Mika: G! Pero how can we carry all of these? *Points the flowers*

Ara: Uhm wait

Bigla naman lumabas si Ara. It looks like may hinahanap siya sa labas.

Ara: Jeron!! Thomas!! Success!!

A tall white chinito guy and charming small moreno guy entered the room.

Jeron: Hi Miks! Ganda ba?

Thomas: Tinulungan namin si Ara na ayusin yan!

Ara: Oo na ang ingay niyo. Kunin niyo na lang yung flowers tapos padala sa dorm at vsjsanzkaka

May binulong naman si Ara sa dalawa pero di ko narinig and I don't have any plans to know about it either. Kinuha ko na lang yung panda at chocolate. Ang laki pala talaga nung panda.

Ara: Oh daks padala na lang natin kayla Thomas yan. Kaya na nila yan.

Mika: Eh ang dami na nga nung flowers eh baka mahirapan lang sila

Jeron: Don't worry Miks we can carry that. Have a moment with your bestfriend ng hindi dala dala yang panda na yan. I know you miss your best friend.

Thomas: Oo nga halos lumipad na yan galing sa mall para lang mapuntahan ka sa dorm kagabi eh. Sorry nga pala ah I don't know na kailangan umuwi ni Ara nung oras na yun, it's my fault, ako yung nag-aya.

Mika: No it's okay.

Jeron: We will go na sige enjoy your time with your best friend!

Thomas: Oo nga Miks! Miss ka na ni pandak! Sige byeee

Ara: Ingay mo sige byeee na bye Je!

Jeron: Bye Ara bye Mika!!

The two noisy guys left the room. Buti na lang iniwan nila yung chocolate kaya kinuha ko na yun. Ara and I decided to left the room pag labas namin wala na agad yung dalawa. Bilis naman nun.

Ara: Takaw mo talaga

Mika: Ano na naman? Kung gusto mo edi kumain ka rin oh ito *gives the chocolate*

Ara: No it's only for you.

As we walk through the corridors of La Salle heading to our dorm there was a deep silence between us. I can't say na awkward silence because I feel comfortable about it. But the questions around my head are still bothering me. Why would she even play that song?

Mika: Daks

Ara: Hmm?

Mika: Bakit yun yung kinanta mo?
