Chapter 46

Ara's POV

Today is the start of the finals series of PSL AFC 2016. Sobrang kinakabahan ako. People might think, "kaya mo yan, Ara Galang ka eh". Pero syempre once a year lang toh nangyayari. Finals na and this is my first time to play full time in a professional league. Too much expectations. Siguro na p'pressure lang talaga ako.

Cha (Cruz): Ara! Focus on our game. Kaya natin toh!

Ara: Sige Ate. Kayang kaya!

The game is about to start. Tinatawag na nga yung line up ng kabilang team. I'm on the back row. Si Ate Cha naman ang katabi ko while, Kim is front of me. Katabi ni Kimmy si uhm Mika.

As we heard the whistle, our opponent served the ball smoothly. Ate Cha received the ball, Kim set it to me. THEN BOOM! DOWN THE LINE!

Cha: Galing talaga ng baby namin!

Ara: Hala hindi naman ate Cha.

Si Mika na yung magseserve samin. Bago siya makarating sa service area...

Ara: Goodluck daks!

Mika: Ah *smiles*

Nung nag serve na si daks. Sobrang lumakas yung cheer ng crowd. Lakas talaga ng appeal ni daks.

Kim: Hoy Ara! Tumingin ka sa kalaban HAHAH

Ara: Oo na eto na.

Hindi ko namalayan, naserve na pala ni Mika yung bola. Sobrang lakas nung palo niya as in. Kaya naman nung na receive nung libero nila yung bola, pumunta ito side namin pero nag out. Service ace from Mika Reyes!

Nagtuloy tuloy lang yung game. We got the 1st set with the score of 18-24 in favor of us, of course.

Kim: Uy galing natin ah!

Ara: Galing mo magpasa ng bola eh

Kim: Weh? Baka naman inspired ka lang?

Ara: Tsk baliw!

The 2nd set begins..

Mika's POV

YEHEY!!! We got the first win! I'm sure we will also get the game 2. Think positive. Galing ni Ara, player of the game. I heard the short conversation of Kim and Ara. Inspired Ara? I guess nagbalikan na sila ni Ktin.

Kim: Uy! Congrats mo naman daks mo

Mika: Sige  mamaya.

Lumabas na kami ng arena at dumeretso sa dug out. Tiring but fulfilling. Kakatapos lang maligo ng mga teammates ko. Palabas na kami nung...

Aby: Miks! Nandito manliligaw mo.

I saw a tall white guy entering the room. Head turner indeed. Nung makalapit na siya sakin, that's when I realized, he's holding a bouquet of red roses and pack of sour tape.

Jeron: Congrats, I know you'll win. This is for you *gives the flower and sour tape*

Mika: HAHAHA sour tape talaga? You know me too well.

Jeron: Do you have any team dinner?

Mika: Wala naman. I think coach wants us to rest already.

Jeron: Hatid na lang kita sa condo mo?

Mika: You don't have to. Galing ka sa training kanina diba? You should also rest.

Jeron: Then let's go home together.
