"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!"
Marco opened his eyes and looked up to see Kai. "Why am I out in the hall?" he muttered, before he remembered Wren taking him out to the hall to talk.
He glanced down. Wren's arm was wrapped around him and her head was resting on his chest. He had his arm wrapped around her.
"So, Marco, what happened?" Kai asked, his eyes wide.
"N-nothing," Marco replied, stammering as he felt his face go red. "Nothing." He slowly removed his arm from around Wren, careful not to wake her up. She snuggled closer to him.
"I'll just leave you two." Kai walked back into the lounge. "I found them," Marco heard him yell.
"Hey, Wren, wake up." Marco awkwardly glanced down at her.
Wren grumbled before opening one eye. "Marco? Um, hi. Why are we in the hall? Wait, did we fall asleep out here?" She quickly sat up and scooted away from him. "Sorry." Wren blushed.
"It's okay." Marco glanced over at her. "We've known each other for so long, who knows we might have fallen asleep like that before."
Wren grinned at him, still blushing.
She's cute, Marco thought. Did I just think that?
"We should go," Wren said, rubbing her eyes.
Marco nodded, thankful for the change of topic. He stood up and waited for Wren before walking into the lounge.
"Oh, good, you're alive," Neve said. Marco couldn't tell whether she was being sarcastic or not. That girl scared him.
"Um, thanks?" he said
"I wasn't talking to you."

"This is the biggest small ship I've ever been on," Kai said, grinning.
He had a point. When Chiron had said that the ship was small, Marco had imagined a tiny, leaky rowboat with room for two, maybe three people in it.
This was not a rowboat. It was a relatively large ship with a mini kitchen, which sadly did not come equipped with food, a room for the four boys to sleep in and one for the five girls to sleep in.
The nine demigods had gotten on the ship about an hour ago, the boys were in their room and Marco had no idea where the girls were. Because the kitchen wasn't equipped with food they were headed into Manhattan with the ship on autopilot.
"Y'know," Kai said. "It's probably a good thing we have separate rooms."
Marco glared at him, feeling embarrassed. "Can you please just let it go?"
"Let it go, let it go," Kai started singing, loudly and extremely off key.
"Oh my gods, Kai, shut up," Joel snapped. "Do you know how long until we get to Manhattan?"
"Soon, I hope," West said.
"Yeah, the sooner we get there the sooner we get away from Kai's singing." Marco teased his friend, planning to do so until Kai stopped teasing him about Wren.
"Oh, shut up," Kai replied. "I mean, my singing's not as bad as being found sleeping with one of our best friends."
"Yeah, what is the deal with that?" Joel asked, the question didn't really seem to be directed to Marco. "Are they dating?"
"I don't know. West, you said that right? You should know being an Aphrodite kid."
"Kai, quit being an idiot," Joel snapped.
Marco smirked. "Is that possible?"
A knock sounded on the door. "Hey, idiots," Wren called from the other side of the closed door. "We're here."
"We're coming." Marco glanced at Kai who was grinning at him with his eyebrows raised. Shut up, Marco mouthed.
The nine demigods got off the ship and started talking about their plans.
"Everybody could go into town and get stuff and I could stay here," Chelsea suggested.
No way, Marco thought. He still didn't trust her.
As though reading his mind, Wren piped up, cheerfully, "I'll stay here, too."
"What? You don't trust me?" Chelsea asked.
No. Marco stopped himself from saying that aloud.
"I do." Wren raised her eyebrows at Marco. "I just thought you might want some company."
"Can we talk somewhere else?" Neve asked. Marco realized she's been silent the entire time.
He looked over at her.
"What?" She asked defensively. "I don't like water."
"Really?" Kai asked. Marco glanced at him recognizing the mischievous tone in his voice.
Oh, gods, what's he going to do? Marco asked himself.
Answering Marco's question, Kai shoved Neve into the water. Marco turned to Kai. "She's going to kill you."
Neve pulled herself out of the water. She almost looked scared. "I'm going to kill you," she yelled.
"Worth it." Marco watched as Kai ran away and Neve reached for her gun and she followed him.
"Okay," Marco said. "So, we'll go into town and you'll stay here?" He glanced at Wren.
She grinned slightly at him. "Sure."
A/N Hey, it's Max! I wrote this, so I hope you guys like it. Via and I were texting earlier and she told me a line she liked a lot: "We're coming." Marco glanced at Kai who was grinning at him with his eyebrows raised. Shut up, Marco mouthed.
