Kai glanced down, not sure what he was feeling. He thought he might be worried, it would make sense if he was worried. Wren could be dying for all he knew, and he was slightly nervous that Mr. and Mr. di Angelo were going to come in and start yelling at them. That would be terrifying. Also what was Kai supposed to call Mr. and Mr. di Angelo? What about when he was addressing both of them?
Great, now Kai was confusing himself.
He seemed to do that a lot. Damn, thoughts were distracting. It was interesting to think that the one thing you can't escape is your mind. Unless you're insane. God, Kai, stop distracting yourself.
Kai looked down at his lap, expecting to see his laptop, open and ready to make a remix. Sadly, it wasn't there. Making remixes and mashups of his favourite songs seemed to calm him down. He remembered making a particular remix of Nicki Minaj's Hey Mama, which he had been extremely proud of.
Kai looked up from his lap when he heard Mr. di Angelo come into the room. The one that wore black, and always looked angry. Not the one who Kai had seen only once, and that was the one that literally looked like a ray of sunshine.
"Okay everyone." Mr. di Angelo's voice shook ever so slightly, he was obviously trying to hide it. "The boys are going to sleep in the living room, and the girls can go sleep in Wren's room." When Mr. di Angelo said his daughter's name, his voice broke completely.
Joel was smirking, as West awkwardly put up his hand as if he was in a classroom. Kai gestured slightly to Tasha and Brooklyn, who rolled their eyes at him. Neve surprisingly looked innocent, well at least at that moment.
"Yes." Nico said, sounding slightly annoyed. "I figured."

Kai grumbled to himself. What time was it? He had no idea.
He grabbed a pillow out of a sleeping Joel's arms, clutching it and stuffing it underneath his head.
A yowl surprised Kai, making him sit straight upright. The biggest cat he had ever seen arched it's back and hissed at him. It's grey fur stood straight on end, obviously it was not a pillow he had just grabbed. Kai didn't know Wren had a cat. The creature stalked away with one final hiss, crawling back onto Joel's lap.
Kai sighed, even the cat seemed to hate him.
