Chapter Sixteen

June 9th, 1944

Stockport, England

"Hmm, go fish." Dan shrugged as Phil asked for a card. Phil grabbed a card and stared at Dan from across the table. Dan wiggled his eyebrows, laughing. The radio was turned on as background noise and Phil's eyes flickered down to Dan's lips.

"Got any 7's?" Dan asked as he tapped his own cards. Phil look at his own and nodded, taking the card and showing Dan.

"Why don't you come get it sweetheart." Phil teased, holding it over his crotch. Dan rolled his eyes, a smirk left on his face. Phil watched as his lover got up and crawled across the table, tackling Phil back onto the couch. Phil made a noise as he hit the couch and looked up at Dan.

"Take me on another trip Phil," Dan said as he kissed Phil's lips lightly. Phil huffed a laugh and nodded.

"Okay," said Phil. "Where do you want to go?" Phil asked him. Dan thought about it.

"The place?" Dan raised his eyebrows and Phil nodded, saying okay and Dan grinned.

June 12th, 1944

Unknown Location

Dan sighed with a smile as the breeze moved gently through his hair and clothes. They had arrived late at night last night and woke up late this morning due to the activities they had done. Dan was ready for their summer holiday there at the cabin.

Phil was cooking them breakfast and he watched Dan lie in the grass from the window. He fonded over him and his heart ached with love. Phil watched Dan get up and turn around, facing the window.

They made eye contact and Dan blushed, realising Phil had been watching him this whole time. Dan brushed off his pants and went to enter the small cabin.

He walked in and Phil focused back on the eggs he was cooking. Dan moved to Phil, moving his arms around him from behind.

"Hi, Philip." Dan grinned, biting his lip. Phil laughed, turning off the stove and turning himself around.

"Hi, baby," said Phil, him kissing Dan lightly. Dan's face was already kissed by the sun and Phil couldn't wait for the rest of their summer there.
