Chapter 8

Still Nick's P.O.V

Lucy and I have a special connection.

No not love connection. We're what those girls call: BESTIES!

Yup. My wolf is screeching in my head and its driving me nuts! I mind link only James.

'My wolf is screeching in my head! Is yours?'

'Yes' he replies his voice ringing in my head.

'Ok well it's because they are coming I can hear the faint fall of paws coming closer.' He says,

'I have to warn everyone of this. Including Lucy!'

'Shift and do it' He demands with his alpha tone.

I shift back and tell Lucy, "Lucy the Evergreen pack is attacking and I can hear their paws running! You, have to stay inside!" I shout at her, her face is horrified.

Lucy's P.O.V

I was scared, horrified, thousands of words could explain what I'm feeling.

"Stay here." He repeated a little of his alpha tone coming out.

I do what he says and my dad nods to me and runs off with him.

Great now I'm alone I just have to look out the window and see this bloody fight over me.

I mean this is over me, ME! But why do they want me? That makes no sense. Uh Oh, "OWE!!" I screech as the feeling comes back.

I run outside not caring that I disobeyed Nick. It was the feeling, twice in one day?! That's crazy, but this time it felt different.

It started in my back then spread. I was now in the middle of the battlefield with Nick running over and shouting my name.

"I-Nick-it hurts-h-help." And after I say those words all is dark.

James's P.O.V

I walk over to my daughter who has stopped moving and is laying on the rock hard ground.

'Bring her over to the lake right now Nick, I'll fight these weaklings!' I panic/sternly mind link him.

'Sam get Daisy to go with Nick to help them with Lucy.' I say to Sam,

I hear two yeses and one from Nick other from Sam.

A wolf comes lunging at me but it fails the landing and I tackle it. One cut and this wolf is done.

He gives up and lets out a howl as I let him take his last breath. The ground is soaked in blood of all wolves and some of ours.

I see Daisy's wolf running in the direction Nick went. Good. I look at the house and see a worried and confused looking Ivy looking right at me.

It's gonna be okay we just have to fight these guys off. I think and try to tell Ivy through mind. But as though she got the message she nods and her face disappears from the window.

I find the alpha sneaking off in the way Nick and Daisy went. I lunged at him and tackle him to the ground. We're way more powerful than any of these wolves in the Evergreen pack.

So a couple of slices and he's done, because without an alpha all runs off and becomes rouges. This is quite a big pack because they keep sending more out from the direction there coming.

'DUCK!!' Haley yells through mind link.

I duck and a wolf comes flying over me Haley being my backup, Rams herself into the wolf but then she stops and the wolves lock eyes. Both of them walk off and hide under the back porch.

They snuggle oh great, they're mates.

Hii peeps well short chappie might make next longer and I will only update in the morning because I'm eating dinner today at 1:00 pm.
