Hansol smiled as he blushed red and took B-Joo's trembling hand. When they walked towards the stage, it was almost as if the crowd parted a little bit for them. They felt like they were actual kings, not just prom kings.
The crowd clapped and cheered for them, sure, but you should have seen the other members. They were screaming at the top of their lungs in the back.
It might have just been because the pizza got there, but still.
The woman on stage smiled and took the mic again.
"Now, Hansol and Byungjoo have surely spent a lot of time together these past eleven months, and I'm sure all of you have seen it. I'm sure the members of Topp Dogg have seen a little more than they wanted to."
"YES WE HAVE!" Yano shouted. The woman chuckled.
"Anyways, this couple has gone through a lot in the time they've been together. They actually broke up a few months into their relationship.
"But they're happier than ever now, and we like that here at the high school. Which is why we would like to award Kim Byungjoo and Kim Hansol with prom king, and prom king."
They were awarded with their crowns, Hansol blushing and smiling the whole time, B-Joo still confused and in disbelief. That night, they left the venue, got drunk, and then headed back home.
The next day, Hansol woke up extremely hung over. He glanced around his and B-Joo's room, his vision still a bit blurry from all the drinks he'd had. B-Joo, however, looked fine.
He was happily eating a bowl of his noodles, rolling around on bis desk chair. He smiled sweetly when Hansol woke up, planting a small kiss on his hand.
"Glad you finally woke up." B-Joo said sarcastically. He was wearing baggy shorts and no shirt, grinning at Hansol.
"Why are you eating noodles in the morning?" Hansol mumbled, slowly sitting up and then laying back down from his major headache.
"It's not morning, Hansollie. It's 5 p.m." B-Joo said plainly, tilting the noddle cup a bit so he could finish it off.
"5 p.m?" Hansol gasped, standing up and rushing to his backpack. "I have to study!"
B-Joo tossed his noodle cup into the trash and frowned. "But we have the rest of the night to ourselves!"
Hansol rolled his eyes and pulled out a textbook. "I don't care, Joo, this test is important."
"Can I atleast help you study?" B-Joo asked, flicking off the tv.
"Sure."
"What's the Scope's Monkey Trial?" B-Joo asked, glancing over the textbook and looking at Hansol.
"I don't know." He admitted.
(Five Hours of studying later)
"So, the Scope's Monkey Trail is..." B-Joo asked, sipping his tea and leaning back slightly in his chair, watching Hansol struggle with the answer.
"I-I don't know!" Hansol admitted, tearing up and slamming his head on his desk. "Ow."
"Oh come on, yes you do! We've been here all night!" He glanced at his watch. "Five hours, to be exact, not counting the thirty minute break!"
"Well, sorry for not getting it as easily as you!" Hansol shouted. B-Joo rubbed his forehead and sighed.
"That's not what I meant, and you know it." He stood up and walked behind Hansol, wrapping his hands around his neck and putting his head on his shoulder.
"I know." Hansol mumbled, leaning back into B-Joo's chest. He sighed and closed his eyes for a moment, finally getting to relax.
"Ok, let's keep going." Hansol groaned, wiping his eyes and pulling out the textbook, flipping to the right page.
"Why don't we just call it a night?" B-Joo asked, shutting the textbook softly in Hansol's warm hands. "We've been studying for forever, so why don't we just wake up early in the morning and study then, huh? Staying up this late is gonna have you tired for the test."
Without a response from Hansol, B-Joo whispered, "don't you just want to sleep?"
"I-I guess." Hansol admitted. B-Joo smiled and sighed out of relief. He was getting even more tired than Hansol.
He knelt down by Hansol and kissed the tip of his nose, watching his cheeks go red. Even though they had been dating for almost a year, Hansol still got embarrassed pretty easily, as well as B-Joo.
"Plus," he continued, poking Hansol's cheek. "If we go to bed now we can cuddle before we go to sleep. And that makes everything better." B-Joo bragged.
Hansol giggled. "Is that true?" B-Joo nodded.
"Oh yes, it's been proven. By scientists. For science." B-Joo said confidently.
"Well in that case, sure Mr. Byungjoo. I would love to cuddle with you." B-Joo smiled and flipped onto the bed as Hansol laid next to him.
He wrapped Hansol in his arms and curled his legs around his. Hansol grabbed B-Joo's arm that was around his shoulder and held hands. B-Joo nuzzled his head into Hansol's hair and smiled.
"Why are you smiling?" Hansol asked curiously.
"Because I'm with you."
