Chapter 14

I had strongly tried to ignore Calum, because most of the time he was with his 'girlfriend'. And I say 'girlfriend' because Calum doesn't really commit to relationships. Most of the time, the girl is just a booty call. Sure, Melanie was nice, but I couldn't shake the fact from my head, that he could've liked me, but me rejecting him sent him to find some other girl. Melanie and Calum were from the same ends of the spectrum, as for me I was on the other, but me and Calum were still best friends. Melanie is a cheerleader, overachiever, and spoiled to death by her parents. She is still mean, but not as mean as Lauren. Lauren is a whole new level of mean, while Melanie is just the spoiled mean. The girl who thinks just because she has everything, means everyone else is the ground she walks on.

I was walking to class when I spotted Calum and Melanie making out on the staircase. I couldn't help but observe how careful he was with her, but how hot and intense it was. He had her pushed up against the railing, his hand around her waist bringing her close, while the other was brought up to her cheek, guiding their lips together. And she, had her leg wrapped around his, bringing their bodies together.

"Get a room. " I said with a straight face walking up the stairs.

"Why don't you just take a picture, it'll last longer. " Melanie said while Calum was sucking on her neck. She then, gave me a devilish like smile. I rolled my eyes and continued to walk to class. The be had already rung, so it was pretty deserted except for Calum and Melanie on the staircase, skipping class. I on the other hand, had a reason to be late. Unlike some horny teenagers enjoying themselves as much as they could. I tried shaking the feeling out of me, but my cheeks just kept on burning with jealousy. Luke. Oh god. I had forgotten about Luke. I knew it was a mistake doing it with him. I hadn't exactly thought about my feelings for him yet. Luke was nice, attractive, and funny. But, for some reason my feelings for Calum still stuck to me like a piece of lint.

Staring blankly, at the wall wouldn't help with my hung up feelings . Maybe I should just go to Calum, so we could straight our feelings out. I really want to tell him about Luke, since he had already lost his virginity. I mean, since he's with Melanie now, there's nothing he could be hungover on. I somehow brought myself up to the courage, to make my way to his house. I knocked on the door, but no answer. I figured no one must've been home or Calum just didn't hear. I pulled out my spare key, that they had given me in case of emergencies. Silently and slowly, closing the door behind me. I was right no one was home. I thought, maybe I should just wait for Calum upstairs in his room. This was normal for us, we did it all the time.

I heard some noise, but couldn't quite make out what it was. I heard some banging on the wall, which sent my heart racing. What was happening? I made myself towards the door, turning the knob quietly, when I heard some moans. I slammed the door open to find two naked bodies thrusting into each other. It was Calum and Melanie fucking right in front of me. I gave a look of disgust and slammed the door back shut. I ran down the stairs, feeling the tears roll down my cheek.

My heart filled with hurt, I heard Calum behind me say,"Sarah!" I turned around to him wearing a robe.

"What do you want. "

"Why do you think you can just come into my room without knocking?!"

"I heard some banging and no one answered the door, so I thought something bad was happening. And I was right. "

"Really?You know I've lost my virginity before it shouldn't be such a surprise to virgins like you. " The words stung my heart.

"I actually lost my virginity, to Luke. But thanks, you wouldn't know anyways. " I shot back at him. His looked like I had shot a million darts at him.

Melanie came out wrapped in a sheet and whined," Come back Calum. " She looked at me with a grossed out look and said," What is she doing here?"

Calum never moved his gaze off of me, but said like he was trying to keep tears coming from his eyes,"She was just leaving. "

I shed one last tear before slamming the door, and breaking out into a complete, sob.
