~Sorry if this chapter's a little long, and if the random songs are annoying, or whatever, but it's Bowie you can't be mad at him. Love me. But, hey,  here's your first real adventure with our favourite dream demon. <3 -Z~

Chapter 6: The First Piece

"Tisk, Tisk. What did we say about stuttering, Sunflower," Human Bill said cheekily.

You gawked at him. Bill had turned into a freaking dreamboat, and you weren't even that into boys yet. (Or at all... If you aren't into boys you're going to have to use your ~imagination~ For now, you're relatively straight in this story, but anything could happen... I don't know, yet.. carrying on) You walked over to him and started poking him.

"Well, it's not a mirage at least," you giggled. He grabbed your wrists to prevent further poking.

"Hey, hey, hands off the merchandise, kid. This is my first time being in a meat suit of my own, so I don't want your little piggy fingers ruining me just yet."

Pfft, he gets cute and thinks it's okay to be a jerk.

"Now let's have a look-see." He snapped his fingers, and a full-length mirror floated in front of him.

Bill catcalled himself, "Hey there good looking."

He fixed his bow tie in his reflection, then turned around and slapped his bottom.

"I even have a nice one of these. They really gave me the whole package!"

You rolled your eyes, arms crossed.

"If you're done fawning over yourself, we still have to get your whatever-you-call-it from this stinky cave," you grumbled.

Bill snapped again, and the mirror disappeared. He floated over to you chuckling.

"Come on, kid, I just wanted to check out the new parts," he wiggled his gloved fingers in your face, "Don't get all grumpy." He put his arm around your neck, pulling you closer to him. "Besides you said yourself that I have a cute flesh form!"

You blushed and pulled out of his grip, walking into the cave.

"You're reading my mind again, Cipher!"

He laughed as he followed you.

"Don't be mad at me because you think I'm dreeaamy." He caught up with you, still smirking and still floating. "These caves are the oldest homes in Gravity Falls. You're right this place smells disgusting."

"Homes?! What could possibly live here?"

"Nothing you-our-human bodies want to encounter, so let's hope we don't." He put his hands out and the blue flame grew larger. "These eyes are horrendous."

You could now see most of the cave. Many crystals lined the walls and ceiling.

"Whoa," you had to stop walking for a second to grasp the view all around you. "What is this place, and what are we looking for, is it one of these crystal things?" Your voice was full awe and you reached out to touch the glimmering wall.

Bill grabbed your arm to keep you moving.

"Don't get any bright ideas about taking or even touching any of these crystals, Sunflower. Many of you foolish humans have wandered into these very caves, with dollar signs in their eyes. Let's just say that they died extremely painful deaths at the hands of the inhabitants. They're very possessive of their useless, shiny shards, and will instantly be alert and kill us both without a second thought. So... Don't. Touch. Anything."

"No kidding... Then why are we here? I'm.... I'm scared now...," you said sheepishly.

"Hehe. I thought you would be, which is why I've made this our first mission. You need to learn the ropes, how to deal with fear. What's a better way to start off than showing you crystal loving, bloodthirsty monsters exactly zero point six seven three miles from where you sleep. The universe you live in is terrifying, but still, you must learn to keep living."
