~This chapter's kind of another filler one, but of course everything contributes to the overall plot. But you know, enjoy. This album is cute af and I feel like it goes with the whole forest vibes. -Z~

Chapter 7: Reunion

The summer went on, and you didn't see Bill for a while after that first adventure. Your life started to return to relative normalcy. Your parents had returned home after a few weeks in the hospital, and your mother even allowed your aunt to stay at your house as long as she wanted. Your mother said it was because she forgave your aunt, but you knew it was because they were going to need a lot of help while they were rehabilitating. You took up a lot of responsibility around the house since your parents couldn't do much.

Between helping around the house you adopted a new hobby, exploring the magic that resided within the forest of Gravity Falls. You had always known there were strange occurrences in your quiet town, but you had always brushed it off as hallucinations due to exhaustion or indigestion. Everyone did. You had no proof that the occurrences were real, until that night in the cave with Bill that is. You had a newfound fascination for everything supernatural.

You ventured into the forest almost every day, and since your only friend Ash spent summers with family out of town, you went alone. You carried a bag equipped with a lunch for the day, and your trusty polaroid camera you had received last year for your birthday.

Speaking of-well thinking of- birthdays, mine's in a few days, you thought as you sat on a large boulder somewhere in the middle of the forest, eating the day's lunch. But that just means the summer is almost over, and that I have to go back to school, gross.

You took the last bite of your peanut butter and jelly sandwich, leaving bits of crust for the birds to peck at. You heard voices behind a few bushes, so you tiptoed over to the bushes and pulled them aside. You found two gnomes playing catch with a rather sick looking older gnome.

"Shmebulock," the tossed gnome whined midair.

You quietly got out your camera and quickly took a picture of the scene. You felt bad for the tortured gnome, but you had made a vow to never meddle with the forces of the forest.

I could get a curse cast on me, or worse.

You decided to journey back home to start dinner for everyone. Your aunt wasn't much of a guardian, but she sure knew how to cook. She agreed to teach you some recipes once she saw how eager you were to learn, you had figured it might come in handy some day.

Everyone has to eat, you told yourself. I didn't find much today. Ah well, it's probably for the best, mother would kill me if I got this dress dirty.

It was a light summer dress with black and yellow stripes running vertically down it.

It almost reminds me of something Cipher would wear, that is if he wore dresses. You giggled at the thought of both his human and demon forms wearing your dress.

Where has that man been? He said there were like a hundred pieces to that device, one would think he'd want to collect them as fast as possible. A device to get him out of the, what, Nightmare Realm? That sounds spooky, I wonder what it's like.

You exited the forest into your backyard and entered your house through the back door.

~Time skip to September 1st, your fictional day of birth brought to you by Time Baby~

The early morning sun came through your window, the rays peeking through the openings in your curtains. You were facing the wall with the window right by your face, the warmth of the morning slowly waking you up. You opened one eye, the light blinding you. You groaned, clenching your eyes shut. You sat up and threw open the window, letting the cool breeze brush against your skin.
