~This is a version of a sick song I did in choir a few years ago (they're a lot better than we were.) It's a little bit of foreshadowing. Sorry for my mini hiatus, I've been wallowing in the void. I have had this chapter written out on paper for a week or two but typing involves using this organ called my brain, and that's been buried in a hole for a while. I just got it back, actually, had to give it a good scrubbing and everything before it could be used again.  I was going to make this two chapters but that didn't happen!! It's kind of hella fucking long, oh well. And I'm sorry if my writing is slowly turning into 100% sarcasm. ANYWAY, if you're done listening to my rambling, go on and enjoy Rashabuo while you still can! -Z~

You materialized on a plot of sand, the heat making you feel as if you had run into a wall. Still, you preferred it to the penetrating cold of your previous adventure. You landed on your feet, and nothing tried to grab you or delay your teleportation while you were in space this time, so you decided that the trip was a success. The sound of rushing water caused you to look over your shoulder to see an expansive ocean. The water was a deep purple, and the crashing waves turned into a lavender foam that stretched up to dampen the shoreline.

Your eyes glimmered. "This place is beautiful," you said in awe. "Let's go swimming!"

You let go of Bill's arms and started to peel off the already sweat soaked jacket. You sat down on the sand to take off your shoes and looked up at Bill who was still standing in the same position, staring out at the open water.

"Knock, knock. Anybody home up there," you shouted from your spot on the sand. It wasn't as grainy as the sand back home, it was almost a powder. Weird.

Bill looked mildly startled as if you had interrupted an important thought. "What, what do you want," he asked rather annoyed.

"What do you mean, what do I want?? I said, 'Let's go swimming,' and you're just standing there wearing a winter coat in this blistering heat."

He considered the situation for a moment. "I am starting to produce liquids. But, I actually paid for this thing," gesturing to the jacket. "So I want to wear my money's worth."

"Sweating."

"What?"

"You're sweating or perspiring, you're not producing liquids," you giggled. "I mean technically you are, but that's just weird."

He smirked. "Well, anyway, I'm not sure if I want to go in. What if it turns my skin purple? That would look terrible. Oh, I know, why don't you go in and then we'll see what happens."

You scoffed at the idea of him making you his guinea pig, but then again you were already going in.

"Fine, but I can't go in with these pants on."

He rolled his eye. "You're so helpless." He was grumpy, but he snapped his fingers anyway, and you stood there in a pair of swim shorts.

"Hey, thanks, friend."

"Just go dye your skin before I turn those shorts into fire ants," he muttered, crossing his arms.

"I don't know what you're so worried about, back on Earth, the oceans are blue because the water reflects the blue light waves and absorbs the other colors. This water just reflects different light waves, how could it hurt you."

"Look at you, miss smarty pants. Did you stop to think that perhaps it's not water at all? That maybe it's acid or cyanide?"

You shrugged and hurried down the beach towards the ocean, the hot sand melting between your toes. Bill trudged close behind, arms still folded in that thick winter coat. Something shiny on the ground caught your eye a couple feet from the water, and you bent down to inspect it.
