The Other Half

Chapter 15

That recess, I saw her on my way to the canteen. To avoid her, I used the long way to get to the canteen. I laughed at myself for behaving such way.

Anything but her. Hahahah

When I arrived, she soon arrived too.

Hahahah I cant avoid her. Regretted using the long way just now.  I shook my head and chuckled.

At the canteen, I act as normal as I could. I noticed that some of them who were at the canteen glancing towards us. I kept my distance from her. Then, I noticed some whispering to each other.

I dont care.

After bought two sausages, I returned to my class.

Busybodies.

That evening after class, I went back to the dorm. 5 minutes after 4. I want to have some nap. I threw my schoolbag beside the locker and then threw myself onto the bed. Ahh so comforting. I fell asleep.

I came to conscious when I felt something touched my shoulder. I opened my eyes slowly and one of my juniors trying to wake me up. How long I've been sleeping? I rubbed my eyes to look at my watch. "Its already 5.15, Iz," she said.

Okay thats a long nap. I shook my head.

"Ohh alright then, I want to take a shower. And by the way, thank you," I smiled at her. And then I stood up to take my towel behind the bed.

"I have something to tell you," she seems hesitated. I sat back upon hearing that. "Okay proceed," I looked at her.

"Nat. She said something to me just now," She was looking around the dorm as if to make sure that Nat was not in the dorm. Hmm okay whats now?

"After the class just now, she came approached me. I thought she just want to chat. Then she asked me, "do you ever wondering how to make people hurt?" she asked me that. I was taken aback but I didnt say anything."

"She was just asking you that, its nothing. Maybe to create a conversation," I patted her shoulder to calm her down as I sense tense on her.

She shook her head, "theres more. She then continued, "I dont want to kill her. I just want to hurt her. Just a little bit. Isnt it fun?" She asked me that! How am I supposed to respond?" She looked terrified.

O.....kay that is so scary! Oh my... she is crazy! Psycho! Kill? Hurt? Who? Me? Or somebody else? I nearly cursed in my head. I took a deep breath and slowly exhale. I was trying so hard to look as calm as I could, I patted her shoulder, "Then, what happened?"

"Then, I asked her,"what are you gonna do?" she replied,"lets see tonight" while leaving my place with a smirk on her face," she looked at me. I was speechless. Wild thoughts running in my mind.

I didnt know what to respond. I wanted to be optimistic but I couldnt this time. Her words  lingered in my mind. But I didnt want everyone to be worried. Then I saw Yan. I called her and asked the girl to tell the story again.

What is she trying to do? Tonight? Okay maybe she was just playing? I dont know!

"Okay right now, we cant do anything yet. Lets see tonight what she is gonna do," I looked at Yan and the girl. Both nodded their head. That evening, my mind did the extra thinking.

That night, both Yan and I were in fully alert state. And fully ready if something happened. But that night, nothing happened and she went to sleep early. We slept late that night just to make sure everything was okay.

Damn. She was just playing. She was telling the truth but it was cancelled or she just want to tricked us? She knew that I will know about this. What is exactly in her mind?
