Yvette's POV

After rehearsals, I want to do nothing more than to curl up on my bed and read Frankenstein. Had I taken it from Erik's lair without him noticing? Quite possibly but I'll return it...eventually. I walk into my room, kick of shoes and throw them towards the direction of my closet. I walk over to my vanity and quickly remove my makeup, knowing that if I don't, I will stain all of my pillowcases yet again.

I flop over onto my bed and grab my book off the bedside table. I resume reading up until I'm interrupted about five minutes later, by a heavenly voice calling my name.

"Yvette, my angel of music. Come to me." I immediately know it's Erik and turn towards the mirror. I see him standing there and move towards the mirror. It slides open silently, he holds out his hand for me and I eagerly take it.

We reach his lair and I immediately walk over to his organ. I've been dying to hear him play something all day.

"Erik, will you come play a song for me?" I ask, making my eyes big and pouting my lips. He walks over and sits next to me. I smile, he then gets up and rummages through a pile of sheet music at his table. Once he finds the piece he wants, he walks back over and places it in front of us. I quickly read the title.

"Love Never Dies?" I question him. He simply nods.

"I am going to play the organ and I want you to sing this, are you okay with that?" He looks at me, his eyes are filled with hope. It's so cute how he wants to make sure that I'm okay with singing. Wait I think that Erik is cute..? Never mind, hearing Erik start to play the organ, I read the first line of the piece and start singing softly.

Who knows when love begins
Who knows what makes it start
One day it's simply there
Alive inside your heart

It slips into your thoughts
It infiltrates your soul
It takes you by surprise
Then seizes full control

I gain more confidence and I sit up straighter as Erik told me to do. I let my voice carry throughout his home.

Try to deny it
And try to protest
But love won't let you go
Once you've been possessed

Love never dies
Love never falters
Once it has spoken
Love is yours

I feel Erik's eyes watching me, but I pretend to not notice.

Love never fades
Love never alters
Hearts may get broken
Love endures
Hearts may get broken
Love endures

I cannot take it any longer, I turn and face him, gazing into his dreamy brown eyes. Wait dreamy? Yes his eyes are definitely dreamy.

And soon as you submit
Surrender flesh and bone
That love takes on a life
Much bigger than your own

It uses you at whim
And drives you to despair
And forces you to feel
More joy than you can bear

I get an idea, grab the sheet music and stand up. I walk away from the organ towards the shore of the lake.

Love gives you pleasure
And love brings you pain
And yet when both are gone
Love will still remain

Once it has spoken
Love is yours

Love never dies
Love never alters

I continue to sing, my voice carries all throughout the lair, echoing off the walls. I almost didn't notice that Erik stopped playing the organ.
