Yvette's POV
I arrive at my sister's door after at least half an hour of battling through the crowds who were beginning to get a glimpse of my sister. Madame Giry was standing guard out of her door, once she saw me, she nodded and stepped aside, letting me enter the room.
"Charlotte! Oh my dear sister, you are a magnificent singer." I exclaim, my sister turns around, a huge smile on her face. She rushes over to me, wrapping her arms around me and squeezing me tight. As tight as she can with my stomach in the way.
"Thank you! I didn't know that you came to watch me, I assumed that you were working or with your lover." She wiggled her eyebrows at me, causing my face to heat up. I gasped and lightly hit her arm. Lotte giggled and walked over to the changing screen to change out of he raggedy dress.
As she changes, I notice a few items on her vanity. There is a bundle of letters all tied up with a red string. They all seemed to be written by Raoul. I smirk, my little sister has a suitor. There is also a dried red rose sitting next to the letters, some of its peddles lie around the flower.
"How did you like the show? I think the man who plays Jean Valjean is extremely attractive." I turn around a face my sister, who is now dressed in a dark blue dress with long sleeves and a silver belt.
"Oh I enjoyed it! It was a little hard to follow at the beginning but it was an amazing show once I figured out what it was about. And, the man who plays Jean Valjean is very attractive." She smiles at me, nodding her head.
"It is my favorite show, I enjoy playing Fatine. Even though her role is smaller, she still has a large role in the play, with her daughter and all." She smiles at me. "Enough talk about me, how have you been? I hope my little niece or nephew isn't giving you a hard time." I giggle and sit down on her bed.
"Oh no, they are just fine. I believe it is a girl, so she isn't giving me a hard time at all." Lotte comes over and sits down next to me on the bed.
"When will I get to meet the father?" She asks, raising her right eyebrow.
"Um..soon, hopefully." I stutter, when will she meet Erik? Will Erik meet her is the more important question. Maybe he'll agree to meeting her because she is the only family I have left.
"Okay." She draws out "As long as I get to meet the man you are in love with sometime, I'll be fine with it." I smile warmly at her.
"On the topic of men we love, how are you and Raoul doing?" I question her, her cheeks turning red. Shyly, she holds out her right hand. I feel my mouth drop when I see her small, silver ring.
"Lotte!" I squeal, I couldn't believe it. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"I could never find you." She giggled "But it is not an engagement ring just yet, it's a promise ring. Raoul said that when the time is right, he will make me the happiest woman on earth." She closed her eyes and sighed, I loved seeing my sister this happy.
I jump, the baby kicks me quite hard. Lotte cocks her head to the side, taking her hand I place it on my stomach. The baby kicks again once Lotte's hand is resting on my stomach, she jumps slightly and smiles widely at me.
"Oh Yvee I'm so happy for you! Soon you'll be a mother and I an Aunt." She giggles as she talks, her voice bubbly and full of excitement. My sister and I chat for a while, obsessing over the actor who plays Jean Val-jean and talking about how we should go out and get sweets and pastries from a local bakery.
We're both startled when we hear a knock at the door, I glance at the clock as Lotte gets up to answer it. It was almost midnight! Oh how the time flies. Turning to look at Lotte, I see she is holding a note standing by the door.
