Phantom's POV
I wake up and am instantly shocked as I feel a warm body pressed up against mine. My eyes fly open and I see Yvette curled up against me, a hand on my chest and my right hand is resting on her hip. She looks so peaceful when she sleeps. I move my hand off her hip and brush a strand of her golden hair off of her face.
She stirs a little bit in her sleep and smiles. I lean in and lightly kiss her lips. Her emerald green eyes flutter open and she smiles up at me. She grabs my face and kisses me back. I place a hand on top of one of her and kiss her back.
She pulls back gently and sits up in bed. I watch her as she stretches her arms high above her head. How can one person be so beautiful? Her blonde hair cascades down her back, the purple dress she is still wearing hugs her body in all the right places.
I sit up in bed and move over to where she is sitting. I wrap my arms around her, resting my head in the crook of her shoulder and kiss her neck. I hear her gasp but she moves her neck slightly to allow me more access to it. I bite down on her neck and pull away to see the mark I left. She moves her hand up to her neck and turns to look at me, a shocked look on her face.
"Erik! Now that's one more thing I have to cover up with makeup." She hits my shoulder lightly and walks over to the organ. I chuckle as I watch her walk away, swinging her hips a little more than usual. I move over to the side of the bed and stand up, walking over to where she is standing by the organ.
She turns when she hears me approaching.
"Erik, will you take me back up to my room? I really prefer to not leave and stay here with you but I know that we have rehearsals today and I don't want to be yelled at by Buquet." She looks up at me with sad eyes. I don't want her to leave either.
"Come with me, I'll show you the way up to your room." I offer her my hand and she takes it. I bring her to a passage and begin the walk back to her room.
~~~~~
"When can I see you again." Yvette looks up at me with her big green eyes. She pulls me towards her and embraces me. I move my hands, one on her lower back and one in her hair.
"I can come visit you again tonight if you would like."
"Oh that is much too far away." She says and I chuckle at her. I gently pull away from her embrace.
"Erik, I'm going to miss you." I lean in and kiss her, she throws her arms around my neck and pulls me closer to her. I smile against her lips and tangle my hands in her hair. There is a knock at the door and we both rip apart from each other.
"Yvee hurry up, you're going to be late for rehearsals!" It is her sister Charlotte. I plant one final kiss on her lips and rush towards the mirror, closing the sliding door behind me.
~~~~~
I walk over to my organ and see something white laying on it. That's strange, I didn't think that Yvette left anything down here. I walked closer and see it is my mask. I reach up to my face and feel that I hadn't had my mask on..the entire time. Yvette had treated me like a normal person and I didn't have my mask on.
A tear slips down me cheek and I brush it away. This girl is like an angel, I think she cares about me and I know that I care about her. I get an idea and move to sit down at my desk. I pull out a piece of paper, a pot of ink and a quill to write with.
My Managers,
It has been brought to my attention, that one of your workers is quite the songbird. She slips by quietly without you expecting anything. In the next performance of "Il Muto", you will cast Yvette as the Countess and cast her sister Charlotte, as the Page Boy. The role that Mademoiselle Yvette plays calls for passion and that is exactly what Mademoiselle Charlotte lacks. Yes her voice is good, but her sister's is in my opinion, better. I still require you to keep box five empty for my use.
