Adam's head began bobbing as brown eyes tried to close. He woke himself up by squeezing the steering wheel tighter under his grip.

"Adam, we need to pull over. One more day won't hurt." Elara declared, Adam just sighed. They were in Harrisburg, which was only about 2 hours away from Derek. It was 12pm and Adam claimed he was fine but Elara knew he was shattered. He'd been on the road since 10 that morning.

"Stiles already knows we're doing this. He's going to be driving as fast as he can to stop us. If we don't get Derek as we're this close. I will hate myself forever."

"I know but I'd much rather be alive when my dad finally sees me again." Elara said, rubbing his shoulder. He let out a hum and nodded, Elara's touch generally persuaded Adam. Elara's phone lit up again, with a notification claiming she had her 100th voicemail from Stiles.

"Fine, but we'll be up and out by nine." Elara smiled, pressing a kiss to the older boy and leaving him to blush fiercely. He was glad it was dark otherwise she would have seen.

"There's one about half a mile." Elara pointed out, Adam nodded, driving slightly faster before he fell asleep at the wheel. Elara grabbed their travel bag from behind the seat, she searched for their money and opened it up counting it.

"There's only $60." Elara mumbled awkwardly. That wasn't enough for two rooms at $30 each, plus food and gas for the way back. The jeep was doing okay and only needed refilling one.

"We'll have to share a room." Adam explained, neither really seemed bother by it, they'd shared a bed with Michael before so together it wouldn't be that bad surely. Adam pulled into the car park and was glad at the lack of other human's, at least they were almost guaranteed a room.

"Seems empty." Elara noted, Adam nodded as they both got out. Adam took the bag from her, slinging it over his shoulder. He took out the money walking up to the reception. The receptionist was sat nursing a coffee which looked well needed. Adam admired her dark hair and light eyes, he had a soft spot for girls with those features especially ones called Elara Talia Hale.

"Room for two?" She asked, giving him a wide smile.

"Yes, please." Adam smiled back in return and Elara had to look away out of jealously.

"That's $25, please." Adam handed over the money, not bothering to ask for another room as it was cheaper than expected. She passed the key, thanking them for their business before Adam thanked her for giving them a room. The room was 182, which Elara found it comical because it was her locker number.

The room was small and fairly tattered. It wasn't the best but it was good enough. Elara opened the bag, fishing out their toothbrushes and her pyjamas. She handed Adam his toothbrush, he went into the bathroom and she changed in the room, then swapped after they each finished. Adam searched the bag but realised he'd left his pyjama bottoms in the last motel. He cursed before stripping into his boxers and climbing under the covers. Elara returned with her hair in a bun and a shirt falling to just above the knees.

"Stiles'?" Adam asked, Elara nodded shamefully, turning off the light and sliding in bed, beside him. Adam felt the heat radiating from her body and moved ever so slightly closer. He heard Elara's teeth chatter together and her body shiver. He didn't know whether she was faking it because he could feel her heat, but grabbed her waist anyway, pressing her back against his chest. She relaxed under his touch.

"I can feel how warm you are. If you wanted to cuddle, you could have just asked." He replied pressing a light kiss to the back of her neck, loving the way her breath hitched. Elara wasn't faking anything, she felt really cold. Either way, she just leaned into the wolf, feeling secure under his hold. She smiled when he snored a little before closing her eyes and falling to sleep beside him.
