The five of them had been in Beacon Hills for about a week. Elara refused to leave the Stilinski house, meaning Derek had been living on the couch. Neither man had confronted their feelings, but they already felt married with a child, although they never saw Elara.

Stiles sighed, tapping on Elara's bedroom door softly. "I'm going back to work now. Okay? I'll see you later." He heard a small hum in acknowledgement. Stiles stood outside of the door, still unsure whether to leave her alone. The door surprisingly burst open and she embraced Stiles in a tight hug. It wasn't hard to see her puffy, blotchy skin of her many tears that had fallen. She was wearing sweatpants, slightly baggy at her new loss of weight, she hadn't eaten a full meal since she left to find her dad.

"Your dad has gone to the shops, he'll be back soon okay?" She nodded against his chest, he pulled her back softly, pressing his lips to her head. She gave a weak smile in response.

After Stiles left, Elara took herself onto the couch, feeling slightly relieved to get out of the room, but suddenly feeling unsafe. She flicked through a social media page on her phone before stumbling upon a post mentioning about Michael's funeral, that day in two hours. She jumped up, texting Adam and heading into the shower. She changed into something appropriate before heading to the cemetery where she would meet Adam. She hadn't spoken to Adam since the car ride home but from what she'd overheard, when Scott was talking with the sheriff, he wasn't doing well either.

Adam was waiting outside the cemetery looking just as rough as Elara. He'd taken to wearing baggy clothes, his hair was a mess and his face red and puffy. They sympathised with each other when they saw the other werewolf. Both teens felt guilty for not doing more to save him. He took her hand in his, leading them towards the gathered people. As soon as Lucy's eye's caught the two, she ran over in a rage.

"Leave!" She screamed, Elara flinched at her loud voice. She let go of Adam's hand to move closer to the grieving mother.

"Please Mrs Grayson. He was my best friend." Elara pleaded, feeling her temper begin to rise.

"No! It's your fault! Your pack is known for death and you killed him! You killed my baby boy!" Mr Grayson came over comforting his wife in a tight embrace.

"No, it was an accident, we didn't even know he was there!" Elara cried, Mr Grayson's eyes flashed red.

"Get away from us!" Elara growled at the alpha who had threatened them, she'd lost control of her wolf now and she was letting it show. Adam jumped forward to touch her shoulder, calming her almost instantly.

"I'm sorry, we're leaving." Elara whimpered, letting Adam pull her out of the cemetery into a warm embrace. She began crying, something else she couldn't control. They stood holding each other as the sky opened and rain droplets began falling. Shortly after, they started to walk back where Derek had returned with the shopping. He dropped one of the bags he was carrying as he rushed over, taking his little girl from Adam's arms. She cried into her father's chest, letting him smooth her back lightly. Derek thanked Adam who retrieved the shopping while Derek sat his daughter on the couch, never leaving her side as she whispered things aimed towards Michael. Adam left the two, Derek thanking him as he closed the front door. Derek wrapped his arm around Elara's shoulders, letting her fall into him as she stared off into the distance emotionless.

"It's going to get better, I promise." Derek mumbled, pressing his lips to her head, she didn't reply, just continued to lean into him.

By the time Stiles arrived back him, they'd fallen asleep. Stiles smiled, picking up a blanket but before he could lay it on them, Derek grabbed his hand.
