24 // Moon run

Elara woke up in the spare bedroom of the Mccall house. It was around 9am. She changed into a big shirt, probably Stiles', she'd collected tons over the few months she stayed with him. She walked downstairs, Scott cooking in the kitchen, Adam ws sat at the breakfast bar.

"Hey beautiful." Adam smiled, she padded over in bare foot, letting him pull her waist closer to him. They'd started dating not long after Derek's rescue, after Elara couldn't help but want to keep kissing him. They started off as friends with benefits but eventually just started dating.

"Morning." She hummed, hiding her face in his neck as he rubbed her back.

"Breakfast El?" Kira asked over her shoulder. Elara pulled away taking a seat beside her boyfriend.

"Um yes please." She grinned, pulling out her phone and opening the picture message from her dad, he'd been gone for a week already, sending her a picture every day. They would be away for three weeks, spending one week in the UK, another in the caribbean and then the last in Australia.  Today's picture was of Stiles, he was in the hotel trying some food, he clearly didn't like from his disgusted face. She laughed showing her boyfriend and his mum before being served some food.

"Daniel is at his friend Kyle's, he won't be back till tomorrow and your dad and I are taking Naomi to this werewolf expert thing, they live just outside of town and we might not be back tonight, are you okay here on your own?" Kira asked the two who nodded lightly. Naomi was becoming more and more out of control with her werewolf abilities and Scott wanted to see if he could get anything to keep her in human form, but it was proving difficult as everyone lived far away.

"I'll be sending Noah around to check on you, so don't be doing anything I wouldn't do." Kira said in a suggestive tone making Elara blush.

"You have three kids, that doesn't leave much." Adam joked, earning a electric shock from a plug socket near by. He yelped making Elara laugh lightly.

"It's not funny." He pouted, she just smiled before tucking into her food.

Kira and Scott left around 12pm, leaving the two teens snuggled on the couch, watching a movie.

"I'll text you what time we'll be back." Kira said smiling at her son, who seemed so much more happier. He nodded and she kissed him on the head goodbye.

"Do you want to do anything today?" Adam asked after a few moments of silence.  Elara looked at him and shrugged.

"I don't mind." She hummed, he leaned her head on his chest, as he ran his fingers through her hair lightly. She closed her eyes enjoying the feeling of Adam's touch.

"We should go for a walk, later tonight." It was a full moon tomorrow and Elara's wolf had been itching to go for a run, her dad usually took her so he could keep an eye on her but he had been gone and he would miss this full moon.

"Your wolf again?" Elara nodded, sitting up and putting her head in her hands. As much as he loved healing fast, running quicker, being stronger, she struggled. She'd even tried to attack Stiles when in wolf form. Adam seemed to anchor her though, when they were together.

"Just a quick run. I promise." She pouted, Adam nodded and she smiled widely, laying back into his arm.

Adam packed a bag of spare clothes, a blanket and some food, he hurled it over his shoulder as Elara skipped out of the house. It was 6pm and the day had started to end, slowly turning to night. The near half moon was up, gradually getting brighter as the sun hid behind the horizon. They ended up in the preserve, laying and watching the sky as it grew dim.
