After getting back to the base, I noticed lots of rushing going on. A pilot approached us and handed Cassian a tablet with a new set of orders. Since it had nothing to do with me, I decided I was going to head back to my room while Cassian took care of whatever he needed to do.

"Stay safe," I said to Cassian before melting into the crowds. While I was walking, I overheard some officers talking and the name Erso stood out to me.

"Hey, you!" I exclaimed, getting the attention of the two officers. They both turned around to look at me and once they realized who they were talking to, they straightened their backs. "Why were you talking about Erso?"

They looked at each other, horrified and silently communicating for the other to tell me.

"Just tell me already!" I snapped. I was extremely tired after climbing all that time and coming to terms completely about Cassian drained me so I did not have time for these two idiots to take all day.

"W-Well you see, M-M-Major, they j-just br-brought in G-Galen Er-rso's oldest daughter," the one on the right said. I took an sharp intake of breath and stepped closer.

"Are you sure?" I asked, my voice dangerously low.

    "Y-Yes! I saw her in c-cuffs m-myself."

I quickly turned on my heel before racing to the Conference Room, hoping I wasn't too late. Because I was on so many missions with Cassian, I lacked knowledge of what was happening here at the base for major events. When I finally got there, I immediately stopped running, as if I had hit a wall. Everyone turned their attention to me but I wasn't focused on that. Instead, I was focused on the back of a head of brunette hair that was put in a small bun. That's how Jyn always wore it, with her bangs swept to the side.

"Jyn?" My voice could barely work so my word came out as a disbelieving whisper, like the Rebels messed up and brought in the wrong person. The person in front of me snapped around and looked at me like I was a ghost.

"Li? Is it really you?" She asked. I nodded as I felt tears come into my eyes and I quickly raced over to her. She stood up and I latched my arms around her since her hands were still cuffed.

"I missed you so much, Jyn," I whispered in her ear, letting a sob escape me. "So, so much."

I felt tears fall on my shoulder as well and I didn't dare pull away. "I missed you too, and I'm so sorry. I should've come back for you, I should have protected you. I promised you I'd protect you and that we would never split up. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry."

I pulled away just a bit and looked her in the eyes, still not believing my sister was in front of me after all these years. She hadn't changed much but she was sixteen when we were separated.

"No, don't blame yourself. You would have been taken in too and they would have made-they would have made us-" I couldn't finish my sentence without sobbing so Jyn rested her chin on my shoulder again, signaling that she would have pulled me into a hug if she had capability of her hands so I dug my face into her shoulder too.

"I missed you so much, Little Moonbeam. There hasn't been a single day that I haven't felt guilty about leaving you behind."

I pulled away again and let her go completely while drying off my tears, stepping aside her to look at Mon Mothma.

"I'm taking her with me to my room," I said, not even asking for permission.

"What right do you think you have?" Draven asked me. I looked him dead in the eye, glaring at him with all the anger I've ever felt against him.
