"My voice always changes. Why can't it be cheery and bright all the time? Sometimes, they get dark, you know, like you can sense the sorrow. Other times, it sounds like I'm forcing it to a major chord, but instead, it's as if minor is creeping behind it. Call me an open book, you can see every emoticon on me," I sip the green tea from my cup and wait for him to explain the first step to fixing broken promises.

The picnic basket gently sits down on the white and red striped blanket that is lying on the grass. It's a clear, and sunny day, and we notice a flock of V-shaped birds flying together straight up north. I feel a sudden burn on my toes, and look down.

"Watch out, there's a pile of ants!" His blue eyes enlarges as he shouts.

With a beating heart, the grip to my cup lets loose, spilling the tea all over my lap. "Ouch!" I slap a group of red ants on my feet, and instantly stand on my feet. "Get away from me, ugh!"

I hear him chucking in front of me, until he chokes on his tea and lets his tears spill inside his cup. "That's why your voice isn't so cheery and bright all the time. Get it?"

"Will you stop that?" With a sudden embarrassment, my face goes red and my green eyes get darker like the forest of trees we are surrounded by.

With a flashing grin he looks at me calmly. "Hey, nothing to be so ashamed about. Ants territory are here, it's us humans that get in the way, but you didn't notice. You're always watching what you step on. Now if you did it intentionally, that would be savage and I'd give you a ticket."

"Whatever." I muttered under my breath.

"Look at my glass. Just watch this." He dips his finger inside the cup and slides it around the rims. A magical ring begins to play. "See that?" He then takes another sip, and it changes to a more positive tone. "Our voices are like glass. It's how much we are full to that depends on how we sound, but if we can trust ourselves.." He rings the glass. "It can be okay with the change of tone. So yeah, hum along to it."

"Oh no, I'm good," I continued scratching the red and treacherous bumps on my skin until they bled. "Ew. Ew. Ew."
