"I can't! What's done is done. I wanted to be noticed and I shared that embarrassing video of myself dancing.. I feel like such a mess. I don't know what to do big brother," she shook her head and sobbed inside his chest like a little baby. Right there she became five again, in her older brother's arms, waiting for his comfort and reassurance before heading to the next level. He patted her back and let her listen to his calm heart that never missed a beat.

"See that painting? It's filled with splatters of all kinds of colors, but messy," he points out.

"So?"

"Each color is an experience of wows, what-ifs, oops, and ahs! Some don't know how it got there, but when it mixed with the other colors, it found itself again through proper guidance. Each one is unique and different, why should it try to be something else? It will blend and become something itself through life. It can't lead all on it's own, until it feels each emotion, wonders around the canvas, fills in-between the gaps, and jumps around. Well, wouldn't recommend jumping around too much, but that is what happened to you, the art-piece of this canvas."

She gazed at the painting on my wall, which was now a story. Her eyes zoomed in, focused on the painting, more than she ever had. She observed each intricate detail; red, green, blue, black, and yellow mixed around inside abstract shapes. Oh, but it was also swirled, splattered, spinning and falling, and going wherever it wanted to be. It disappeared from reality, and came back bruised and broken, but more alive than ever. Breathing life inside the canvas, adding brightness to the room from just one mess. The way her brother explained it, it felt like we are all a beautiful mess in this world.

"Look, the mistake doesn't define you, but now it is a part of your canvas, and your shaping. I want you to embrace it, and let it go.. Don't feel bad, you were going through something during that time, and you let it out like that. Years from now, you will look at it and laugh. If it made you happy, you don't have to regret it, just make sure to be true to yourself, sis. Having that out there may is not easy, and it doesn't always have to be shared! However, you overcame your adversity like you always do.. Anyways, continue learning and watch the canvas in the end, be something worthwhile watching. Remember sis, you are the one leading an example. You can always just be yourself.. Just please be careful, okay?"

"Okay big brother."

"Hey, don't forget it to be happy. You can turn this into a beautiful story.."

"Oh right, a beautiful, messy story," she nods.
