His heart dropped
His heart broke
But somehow he knew
She could help him pick up the peices.
His arms wrap around her once agian
And he's not sure if the first hug felt the same
Or if this one is better
Knowing his arms are the only ones
She been held in for years.
He wants to say something
But instead thinks of a word.
Oxymoron.
She looks so fragile and frail.
But he knows that Jade
is the strongest girl he'll ever know.
"Thank you." She says
It's his turn to be shocked
Did she just thank him for something as simple as a Hug?
Yes.
"You're welcome?" It feels wrong
The way it falls from his lips.
A natural reaction.
"I'm sorry, I sound pathetic."
she pushes him away softly
he lets her go.
"You're not pathetic,
You're fragile, but I'm okay with that.
And you should be too."
She smiles quickly, but it's fleeting.
