Jade watched as
Luke brought in the last box.
She smiled and kissed him
This was the start of their new life
Both only 20 now
But very much in love.
"This is going to be great."
She says and pecks his lips once more.
He picks her up and spins them around
Slowly and carefully.
She is still fragile
But he's learned to be gentle.
"I can't believe we did this.
It's all I've wanted."
He mentions and sets her back down
The boxes in the living room are stacked high
They lead into the bedroom
Where the bed is empty.
And the bathroom where the shower
Has shampoo, and that is all.
"I love our apartment."
Back on her own feet
She walks around,
Getting used to the feeling.
"We live here."
She says in awe.
In all her years
On a shelf,
It only took one boy
To give her the world.
"I love you." He wraps his arms
Around her waist
From behind and she giggles.
"Don't tickle." She warns.
"No promises." His fingers press
Lightly and randomly
Around her stomach
And fits of laughter
Errupt in the room.
This is their new life.
