Her hand rests on top of his
As they eat their gourmet food.
She finds herself nervous
To be hiding something.
He's always been so open
And honest.
But it's for his own good.
"How has the tour been so far?"
She asks, waiting for him to say
Amazing.
But instead:
"Alright, I wish you were here."
She smiles and looks down
"I do too."
He notices how she's acting
But doesn't call her out
Knowing she'll tell him
When the time is right
But he is curious
And he loves her.
"What's wrong?"
He stops eating and gives her all his attention.
But she is nervous
And she is scared
This is his life
And this will ruin him.
"Nothing."
