"I love you."
The words sounded so
sweet.
It had been too long
and just saying it once
wasn't enough.
"I love you, Luke."
He sighed with relief.
They were young
and in love.
This was their family
and he wanted it all.
He stood and kissed her
with all the passion he'd saved up
for the past month.
Jade kissed him back
and hoped they'd forget
about her leaving.
Maybe they could go back
to normal.
Maybe they could
start over.
"I still love you."
He tells her.
"I love you more."
She replies.
"Liar."
He jokes and holds her
closer than ever before.
This was their love
