"I'm scared"

They had never spoke

About what may happen

But he wanted to.

What if something went wrong?

Jade felt another pain

Stronger than the rest

And screamed.

Her lip was bleeding

And tears were running down her face

She'd dug her nails deep in Luke's skin

And writhed in pain

It hurt so bad

And she wanted it to end.

Luke called the nurse

And she came in

Weilding a clipboard.

"She needs the epidural."

They had opted to not have one

Due to the fact

That she would bleed

from the shot

But right now

bleeding seemed better

Than this.

The nurse nodded and got the doctor

Who told them bad news.

Her window of opritunity

Was gone.

Luke told them to break the window

And give it to her.

But they couldn't

And she screamed again.

Luke couldn't take it

And neither could she.

With one last look she said

"I love you."

And closed her eyes.

The pain was too much 

And her brain shut down

The doctor said

It may happen

But it was early

She wasn't ready

And now

Luke's heart rate

is frozen.
