Luke heard the door
And got up from the bed
He'd been in for three days.
Slowly he walked
to answer the calls of his name,
It didn't register
That he knew the voice.
He opened the door
And saw her,
Smiling.
"Jade?" He rubbed his eyes
This was a dream.
Right?
"I'm sorry."
She gasped out
And choked back tears.
"I'm so sorry,
I left because I thought
That you loved your career
More than me."
Tears stream down her face
As he processes the words.
"I could never love anything
More than you." He pulled her close
And she gasped.
Something was different
But he kissed her
And held her tight.
Something was very different.
his arms were looser around her
And she didn't mold into his body
Like she used to.
He lets her go
And takes a step back.
His words stick to his tongue
When he sees
The bump.
"You're pregnant?"
