This story is in Sakura's point of view. 600+ words. Enjoy!!

I was sitting on the couch reading a magazine when I heard the door open. I jumped up and quickly took the coat from my husband and hung it up. "Good evening, Sasuke," I greeted.

"Hn." He just passed me, his hair messy and clothes wrinkled. I sighed and closed the door.

"Where were you? It's pretty late—"

"Just because we're "married"," Sasuke snarled. "Doesn't mean you have to know every detail of my life!" He stormed off, leaving me in the doorway.

"I'll make dinner," I called out. "Go and wash up."

"Don't tell me what to do." I smiled sadly as I started to make supper. I guess tonight was baked salmon, rice, and miso soup.

It's unfair that he got stuck in a relationship with me at such a young age. I still remember what he said to my 20 year old self. "I didn't want this relationship, so don't expect anything from me." That was a year ago. Almost every day after that, he came home with his wrinkled clothes at 11 at night. I don't know when I fell for him exactly. But what I did know was that he didn't fall for me, not now, not ever.

Another thing— he slept with his assistant at work, Karin. She is a well-endowed woman, with red hair. As for me, well, I have ugly pink hair, and a flimsy, fragile body. I am pathetic. Sometimes I think of dyeing my hair, but decide against it. Sasuke might get angry at me.

Just then, the rice cooker beeped, and I called out quietly, "Dinner!" Then I set up the table for one. I decided to start dieting because I was gaining weight from all of my comfort eating.

"Coming."

Sasuke came down the stairs and reached the table. He narrowed his eyes and glared at me. "Why aren't you eating?" He asked harshly.

I looked down, refusing to make eye contact. "I'm on a diet."

He scoffed. "Why? And look at me."

Hesitantly, I glanced upwards. "Because I'm on a diet," I stated again.

Sasuke sighed. "Eat," He commanded.

"I'm not hungry," I responded.

He shrugged. "Suit yourself." I took a seat and watched him eat wearily. Immediately after he finished he left, leaving me to do his dishes. As much as I loved him, NO ONE treats me like that. In an act of defiance, I called Ino.

"Hello, Welcome the Yamanka's Beauty Salon—"

"Ino-pig, it's me."

"Oh! Why didn't you say so, Forehead? Whaddya want?"

"Um..." I paused, taking my phone away from my ear. Then I listened for any sign Sasuke might be listening. "I want to do something about my hair."

"Sakura! Are you sure?"

"No! I mean, y-yes! Can I meet you there in 15?"

"O-okay...yeah, sure!"

I exhaled with relief. "Okay, see you then." Then I hung up. Gathering all my courage I yelled, "Sasuke! I'm going out!"

I heard someone running down the stairs. Surprisingly, it was Sasuke. "Where?"

I ignored him, despite the pang in my heart. Then I felt his slender fingers wrapped around my wrist, squeezing it so my wrist hurt. "Don't make me ask again," He warned. "Where?"

I stared him in the eye. "Away from here." I pried his fingers off and got my car keys and started walking out.

"Wait." I ignored him. "Sakura," He called out. This is the second time he's addressed me by my name.

I stopped without turning back. "What do you want?" I asked in a monotone voice.

"Where are you going?"

Then I turned around to face him. "Oh, I'm sorry," I mocked him. "Despite our marriage, you don't need to know every detail about my life! Eat your own words, Sasuke." I opened the door and turned one last time to look at him. "And have fun fucking your bitch, because I won't be coming back tonight."

Even with my heavy heart, I got in my blue sleek car and drove away. But what could I do? After all, it was unrequited love.
