"You know" panimula ni Rickiel habang nakain kami. Muntik ko na nga pala makalimutan na may pag-uusapan nga pala kami.
"Hmm." Sagot ko ditto habang nanguya ako ng pagkain ko.
"We know each other for a long time, right?" tanong niya na nagpatango naman sa akin. "And I haven't asked you this question" he said while looking at his sandwich
"What?" inip na tanong ko dito
"We are still friends, right? " alanganin niyang sabi sa akin at may pagkamot pa sa batok niya
"What?" I was shocked by his question "Yes of course you are still my best friend" I answered hiding my smile
"Really?" di niya makapaniwalang tanong "But you haven't contact me since" He said in a low voice "Never mind. How's the precious sister of the Seung-ho brothers?" He ask
"Precious?" ulit ko dito "Not really don't be too exaggerated" dugtong ko pa
"Hahaha. It's true you're like a gem to them"
"Gem more like a stone" I said biting on my sandwich
"Okay I won't push it. Oh right I'll be sitting next to you for the entire year we need to catch up what I miss in your life"
"Do I have a choice?" I ask jokingly which make him laugh
"Wala" he said while laughing
"See? Now, I know why you are friends with kuya Lanze" sabi ko
"Dahil parehas gwapo at mabait?" tanong naman ni Rickiel habang itinataas-baba ang kilay niya habang sumandal ng ayos sa upuan
"Parehas kayong makapal ang mukha" natatawang sabi ko dahil nakita ko kung paano nagbago ang expression niya
"Tara na nga" sabi nito pagtayo sa upuan.
I gave him a confused look hindi ko pa kasi tapos ang sandwich ko.
"Tama na yan inaaway mo naman ako. Next time remind me to not to treat you huh?" He said at nagsimula nang maglakad
"Kass?" tawag ko pagdating ko sa room
"Why? Is there a very very bad news which is he confessed to you? That jerk?" Tanong ni Kassandra na may pagturo pa kay RIckiel na may kausap sa pinto.
Nahagip yata ito ng mata ni Rickiel kaya napaturo sya sa sarili niya para bang tinatanong na "Ako ba?" umiling naman agad ako at hinila agad si Kassandra sa isang sulok.
"You want to meet my bestfriend?" I say it happily
"No need" She said shoving her hands on me
"Huh? Why?"
"It's me, right? Why would you introduce me to myself?" Kassandra said it as if there's nothing which make me shock all this time, she treated me as one of her best friends? I know it's not all about how many years you've been together or how long you knew each other but it's just fascinating to treat me her best friend this real fast.
"Bakit hindi ba ako?" gulat na tanong ni Kassandra nung nakita niya ang pagkagulat ko " All this time I thought we have the same feelings, same thoughts" malungkot na sabi nya
"I didn't intend that. It's just that its fascinating you treat me as your best friend this real fast. I'm happy to be your best friend Kass" I told her and hold her hands
