Standing in the line for the Airplane at Washington International Airport we were moving slowly forward. I hated all these security checks where everone was nearly getting undressed. I tried to calm myself down by thinking of Edward and me...
The last week was so filled up with wonderful and yet surprising events. When I heard the last boarding call for our flight I turned back and saw my Dad smiling. He was staying next to the Cullens who were waving at us.
Edward was holding my hand and we were boarding the flight to Cairo. Did our dream comes true? I was wondering how our trip would be after all. Edward looked at me through his newly changed eyes. The were warm green honey golden brown.
Our family must had spent a fortune on this trip. We were the only passangers who were booked first class. Usually I would object spending money in that amount but I was totally fine with it. This was giving us the possibillity to get rest and we had the chance to have more privacy than usually on crowded flights. Since I have never left the US area I was totally excited by flying over almost half of the globe. Edward was calm and everything was just usual for him. I think he must have had travelled a lot before we met.
We were the last people who boarded the plane so we would be able to get off it for first. I was so excited. Edward held my hand so nicely trying to calm me down since he had felt my tension.
We took our seats. They were huge. we almost had a private bedroom there. Suddenly everything went so fast. The take off made feel sick as a parrot. Edward was holding my head close to his chest. So his breath would calm me down more.
"Bella I know how you feel. Every Vampire feels the same." I sighed and closed my eyes to get rest.
Thankfully we have hunted yesterday so we would have to hunt earliest in 3 days. Hopefully we will hunt in the desert west of the nile. At least this wouldn't be our worry for the first days. I knew that we could hold on longer but we didn't wan't to hunger ourselfs.
We planned the whole trip in the late evening hours when the sun would set so we will not cause any attraction and could keep our secret. This wouldn't be noticed any way due to the fact that the life happens for the upper class in egypt anyway at night. Monuments open at night. The shopping Malls have opening hours till early morning and the Night life - as it name is - is at night.
When we landed I was still feeling sick but walking on my feet helped a little. Whilst climbing down the airplanes stairs the heat of Cairos Airport hit me like a wall of fire. With that second my body felt well and the sickness was gone already but I didn't like the air -all this polution -Isis must have been awaken. Thoughts like what have happend to our country? where was all the beauty? Were on my mind.
Edward pulled me with him. He was taking the guide role since he has studied some arabic in his free time and found our way easily asking and listening for it.
When we left the costumers and the passport check an overweighted short man was holding a golden plate with our Names on it.
He introduced himself as Mohammad Ahmad. What a creative name I thought to myself. We thanked him and followed to the car which was waiting for us. Thankfully it was nearly dawn so no one would notice our difference. But WE attract attention. I just noticed the starring men. At this Airport the staff was nearly all male. Starring at all the female foreigners they touched themselves. I was disgusted by this rude behaviour. Again I heard my inner Voice. What happend to this lovely country?
