When we got outside the Hotel we smelled the pollution of Cairos Air again. I opened the passengers door and smiled at my Bella. I wanted to show her how much I respected her, how much she means to me. I wanted to make her -my only love, the only girl who touched my heart, who owned it- happy. I was really hoping that she loved as much as possible I wanted to buy stuff for our -hopefully future- home.
"Aren't you supposed to be happy and exited?" I asked smiling.
"Edward you know I like to shop old stuff but I am not amused by the fact that you hide something from me" She sighed whilst she climbed into the seat of the white Jeep. She is feeling that I am hiding something... I wanted to tell her but I couldn't I wanted to tell her so hard but I knew that my time, our time would come soon.
When we got in Mr. Ahmad turned the keys. Starting the engine he turned his head to us and asked if we are ready to go.
"Yes Mr. Ahmad. Emshe min fadlak." I responded.
"What did you say?" she asked me. "That he can start driving" I responded smiling.
We nearly stood every 2 minutes in the traffic of cairos busiest streets.
It seemed that the caireen drivers were showing us a special honk concert. She laughed "the egyptian have some short patience, don't they".
Mr Ahmad chuckled "Yes Ms Swan. They are so unpatient. In case of emergency please never call for an emergency car. Take instead the next taxi. The Taxi will get you faster to the ER."
"Thank you for the information" She said nodding. Bella was smiling and looked outside the window. She looked so peaceful. I so wanted to kiss her cheek but I knew this was not allowed in public so I just decided to kiss her hand when I will help her out of the car later.
We reached the plaza of the mosque from which we could entrance the old souq of cairo. I got out of the car first and then held the door open for her. I helped her out of the car. Suddenly we did attract attention several people, both gender, were starring at us. Women were undressing me literally with their looks. When I heard their minds I was close to grab bellas hand and run away. One of these vailed women was literally eating me in her mind... it was discusting. In these moments I hated my gift. But the men were worse. They thought that Bella was a hore. That they could pay for her "service". It was discusting. I needed to show them. That neither me nor Bella were the people they thought we were.
Bella had sensed my tension -maybe she knew that what they thought about us- she smiled. I bent to kiss her hand.
Mr Ahmad got out of the car gave us his number for emergencys otherwise he would wait for us here at the plaza.
I pulled my girl into the small souqs entrance. It was crowded. Small alleys were typical for traditional markets in Egypt. Crowded little shops filled till the roof with hundreds of different kinds of goods. I smelled spices, leather, food, different fabrics, gold, silver and not for my delight garbage!
"Does the smell disturb you too?" She asked me sniffing.
"yes" I admitted.
I pulled her into the left side into the smallest alley. "This is the area for antiques. We may find something for my familys home" I whispered into her left ear.
She smiled. But shivered. This alley was crowded as much as the main one. We had no other chance than to take the rythm of the people. We walked with the rythm of this alley itself.
But Moving with the flow gave us the time to have an extended look at the windows. Suddenly something caught Bellas attention. I saw Bella stare at something and followed her gaze.
