Bad Things

"Do you love me, Lauren?"

"Yes, with all my heart."

"Would you die for me?"
"No, that's too easy...would you live for me?

"Of course I would. Without a doubt."

"Then jump."

I look to over the ledge of this 26-foot tall building.

"We don't have time Lauren you have to jump." she grabs my hand squeezing it lightly and looks at the door behind us as it bursts open with police aiming their guns at our heads.

She looks over at me and mouths 'Jump' as I shut my eyes tightly and take the leap with her.

A FEW DAYS LATER

"I love you so much Laur and I hope you realize that. I can't marry you and may not be able to start a family with you but I would give up so much...just not this."

"What do you mean not this?? I'm not living on the run for the rest of my life Y/N and that's final."

Why can't she just let it go? I'm not running with her like this, I want a family and I want to get married. I want a stable career and a nice house.

"Then go."She says it with a straight face looking me right in the eyes.

"Go? You want me to go? Didn't you just tell me you loved me?"My face expresses my confusion

"If you don't like the way I live my life then go. There's the door."She motions toward it with her hand sitting back in her chair.

"It's not the way you live your life, it's the way you expect me to live your life with you."

"Lauren I'm not forcing you to be with me, you can go whenever you please."

"Are you serious? Are you fucking kidding me?"

"No, I'm not kidding Lauren. If this isn't the life you want to live then I'm not going to make you live it."
