"I know this is your first week and all Lauren but you can't just let people break the law because you're afraid of confrontation."Kel explains to me.

"I understand Sir, after I got this position I was hoping to get over that as time went by."

"You need to start cracking down on these speeders, it's dangerous around these roads. Someone could get seriously hurt, Officer Jauregui."

"I'll do better Chief"

"If you say so, you're dismissed, Officer." He states as I nod my head and leave his office.

It's not the fact that I'm scared of confrontation, it's just that I'm scared of confronting this person imparticular. Every Tuesday and Friday she speeds down that road and I always let her off with a warning. She must think that I'm a really bad cop. She always says she's in a rush.

Well today is Friday and here I am on my way to that very special road, and I'm going to find the courage to give her that well-deserved ticket...and ask her out on a date of course. Maybe it's a bad mix...but I'm just doing my job.

*Hour or so later*

"You must think this is the fast and furious sweetheart because I'm sure the speed limit is 35 and not 70."I lean against the driver's side door as she sighs heavily.

"I know Officer, we go through this every time and I just never catch myself speeding. I just know there's a destination and that's all I go for."

"Well, I've given you plenty of chances."I hand her the ticket."And also, with the way you speed I would assume you'd have time to let me take you out on a date sometime?"I ask stutter free, I'm surprised at myself about how clear that came out.

"If going on a date with you gets me on your good side then I'd love to go out sometime." she smirks as I chuckle."How'd you know I was gay?"

"After looking at the LGBTQ stickers on that notebook over there I would have never guessed that you were open-minded."I point to the notebook in the passenger's seat with tons of rainbows and hearts on it."But you have a nice day Y/N, and no more speeding, please. This town doesn't need any accidents on its ass alright?"

"You got it Officer." she winks as she pulls off and I watch as she speeds down the dirt road again.

She'll never learn.

*Tuesday*

Here I am sitting at this diner with one of the most beautiful girl's I've ever came across.

She's been telling me about her education path and how hard she's working on opening up an art studio.

"Everything's just so expensive, so I rush from job to job because I really need the hours. But ever since you started pulling me over it just became our thing and I've did it ever since."

"So you speed...just to get my attention?"

"When you say it like that it sounds kind of weird."

"I don't think you need to speed to get my attention, all you have to do is look my way and I'll be starstruck."

"Aww, Lauren." she coos as she hides her face in her hands so I can't see the blush.
