next afternoon.

malia

The boys slept over last night. It kind of honestly sucked. I really just wanted to go out of my room and I don't know... walk around the house like it was an actual home? But it's for the best. I don't want the same thing happening again.

I felt my phone vibrate in my hand. I looked at my phone. It was a text from Hayes.

[ hayes ] : apparently you're coming to the next Magcon with us.

I read the text. Please don't make me go. I sighed before texting Hayes a reply.

[ malia ] : who on earth said I'm going?

[ hayes ] : momma said so, everything is booked and we're leaving tomorrow morning )):

[ malia ] : no, i'm not going.

[ hayes ] : why?

I groaned in frustration.

[ malia ] : you know why >:(

That means I'm missing out on school... Meaning I have to catch up... Meaning I'll be behind... I'm not bothered. Along with that I will be leaving Jamie and Everest and that's not going to happen. I left my phone on the other side of my bed, not wanting to hear anymore of this.

"Malia..." I heard Hayes' voice from the door. I looked over to him. He was leaning on the doorframe.

"What?" I sighed annoyed.

He closes the door behind him and climbed into my bed. I rested my head on his lap.

"I know you don't want to go." He frowned combing his fingers through my hair.

"I don't. I don't want to be dragged into your lifestyle. Being possibly used by everyone just to get to you guys. Receiving hate. You know the go."

I"I know, but Momma's orders Malia."

"But wouldn't she be alone? I could stay here and keep her company." Hayes shrugged.

"Hey." The door quietly squeaked open. My mum popped her head in. "Was just going to check up on you." She entered the room and softly closed the door behind her.

"Do I have to go?" I whined. She frowned and sat on the bed. "Yes honey you do. I want you to go."

"But you'll have no one."

"I have your father." She smiled sweetly. "I want you all to be together. It makes me feel less worried knowing you guys are together."

"But we're together in a total different place! We could get lost or hurt, go missing. True?"
