Chapter 16

Ryan's POV

The next day we flew out of New York, I spent the night on the couch even though she offered to share her bed

There's definitely enough space for both of us but I don't wanna move too fast, I'm not sure what we are at the moment, I wanna talk about that with her while we're home

I called my mom and told her I was coming back today I had some news, I guess I have quite a bit of news actually but I'm sure she'll be fine about it, I don't see why she wouldn't be and my dad always said he'd support me no matter what

I'm so lucky to have them, and I mean, I still can't believe that I actually found Chloe, after a whole year of her missing I never thought id see her again, especially not in New York

And Gracie, I don't even know where to begin, I never want to let this little girl out of my arms ever

God she's so tiny and precious and adorable and she's such an angel dear god, I've never seen a four month old this well behaved in my entire life and you'd be surprised by the amount of 4 month olds I've seen in my lifetime

She's so fantastic, god I've only known her for all of a day and I'm so in love it's insane, I can't get over her, she's already my little baby, I refuse to ever let her out of my sight again, okay not ever again but for a very long time

Well not not out of my sight but, ugh I'm just so obsessed, I have a daughter, a little baby girl, my little baby girl, with Chloe, the love of my life and I have a perfect little baby girl and she already seems to know who I am, that's mad, she's so smart, she's totally her mother's daughter

We landed and I got us a taxi, Chloe seemed quite nervous to be going back so I wrapped my arm around her, held Gracie close to me and led them both to the taxi

Soon we were at my parents house, one of the last days I'd spend living in that house, that seems pretty crazy, but I want to be with Chloe and Gracie and if that means New York then New York it is

We got out, got all our stuff out, pod the taxi driver and then went to the door

I knocked and Chloe stood behind me nervously

My mom answered the door and was really happy when she saw me

"Ryan!" She sounded so excited to see me

"Hey mom, I brought a couple of people I thought you might like to see" I tell her and she looks at me in confusion

I step aside and she gasps as she sees Chloe, then she sees Gracie and her eyes go even wider and a huge smile goes across her face

"Chloe!" She get so excited she almost leaps at her, it was quite funny to watch to be honest, cute too though of course

When they break away I smile and gesture to Chloe, asking for permission to take Gracie which she gladly accepts and hands her over

"Mom is also like you to meet Gracie, our daughter" I tell her and she is immediately cooing and fawning over Gracie, I knew she would

"She's just the cutest ever" she gasps as she plays with little Gracie who seems really excited by her grandmother

"Hi Mrs McCartan, how are you?" Chloe greets awkwardly, it having been quite a while since they last spoke

"We'll have plenty of time to chat once you've both come in and settled down, gosh when Ryan said he has some news I didn't think the news would be quite this adorable" she said while still unable to leave Gracie alone

We all went inside, I put our stuff in my room and then came down to find my mom and dad fawning over Gracie while chuckle watched on smiling

"Hey dad" I say as I walk in

"Hi son" I says without looking up, much to engrossed in playing with my daughter, dear god I love calling her that

We all sit down for a while and everyone can't leave Gracie alone, dear god this kid is like a magnet

"I'm so glad you're back Chloe" my mom told her after a while and that's when Chloe became a little more awkward

"That's the other thing I wanted to tell you guys" I start and hey look up at me a little nervously by my tone of voice, I take Gracie from my mom and lay her against my chest, she seems pretty tired

"Chloe you wanna take her upstairs to my room, I think she's a bit tired" I suggest, Chloe looks at me for a second and nods

I give her Gracie carefully and she cradled her in her arms, once she's sure she's got hold of her safely she leaves the room, she's so attentive, such an amazing mother it's insane

"What did you want to talk to us about?" My dad asks me

"Chloe and Gracie's home is in New York, it's all Gracie knows and she's used to it, Chloe likes where she is and I want her to be happy, I don't think here's the place for that, but I've gotta be with them, now I've found them, I don't ever want to be away from them again, what I'm trying to say is...." I got to explain but just as I'm about to make my point I'm cut off

"You're moving out to New York to be with them?" My mom questions

"Yeah" I acknowledge

"It's good you want to be with them son" dad tells me proudly by I think he's a little sad

"With all the Jared stuff and her mom and everything, she's got a really good life in New York and I don't want to ruin that for her but I have to be with them" I explain but the just seem to understand

"Of course honey, but don't think we won't be showing up to see our granddaughter regularly, because we will be" my mom tells me and we all chuckle

"I wouldn't have it any other way" I tell them

After giving them a brief explanation of what happened I went upstairs to find Chloe led on my bed and Gracie crashed out on her chest

"How did it go?" She asked anxiously

"Couldn't have gone better" I reply

"Come snuggle?" She asks and I nod with a smile

I join her on the bed and make sure we're snuggled up nicely

"What would you say if I said I was thinking about changing my mind about not wanting to stay here?" She asked suddenly, rather out of the blue

"You want to stay?" I asked confused

"I don't know, maybe, your parents just seemed so happy wth her and it was really nice to have her around family, plus this is a quieter place to grow up, I'm not sure, but I'm thinking about it" she explains and I smile

I honestly wouldn't mind New York, I think I'd grow to really like it but if she wants to come back here then that would be amazing

I can't believe this is real, I'm curled up with Chloe and our daughter, this is insanely amazing, I can't even begin to describe how happy I am right now
