Ryan's POV
We're about to pull into an all night gas station to change over and whatever because I'm getting really tired now, Brian slept pretty soon after we left so he'd be awake enough to drive until we change over
"Okay so does everyone remember the plan?" Veronica asks us
"Not at all, it was like 3 hours ago you told us that plan" I reminded her
"Okay so, Colton gets the keys, you and I go in and get supplies, Brian....well Brian pees.....yuck, and then we all meet back here asap and then it's Brian's turn to drive, we'll be in New York by lunchtime tomorrow" she explains
"Ah, yeah, now I remember the plan" Colton chuckles, earning a glare from a rather serious Veronica, she's also sleep deprived, god help us
"Okay so you're driving after him V so you should get some rest once we've done this" I suggest but the look I get back from that, it looks could kill...well I'd be very dead
"I'm fine so why don't you just shut up and get u to the damn gas station huh?" She hisses, they say don't poke the bear, why do I never listen?
Veronica wakes Brian up a couple of minutes later when the gas station comes into view
"Everyone ready?" She's asks and we all nod yes
"Okay we have 5 minutes to do this so on your marks, ready...." she tells us as I pull into the gas station, the second the car has stopped she yells "GO!" And we all rush around to where we're meant to be
I throw the keys at Colton who starts to fill up the minivan because we were about to hit empty
Brian runs to the bathroom, God he's a weird kid
Veronica and I run straight into the store, we grab all the food, drinks and anything else we may need, run to the counter
I almost throw my card at the dude behind the counter, I'm so out of breath so Veronica has to tell him which pump we're at, he rings up the total and as soon as we've paid we grab all our stuff, thank him and then speed out of the store to the car
"How'd it go?" Colton asks us hurriedly as he helps us get all the stuff in the van
"Where's Brian?" I ask hurriedly, knowing we only have like a minute at best
"Probably still in the bathroom" Colton points out
"Okay fuck this" Veronica snarls in agitation, okay at the very least that girl needs a coffee
She walks over to just outside the men's room, takes a deep breath, composed herself and actually looking quite calm, but then suddenly....
"BRIAN GET YOUR FRICKING ASS OUT HERE BEFORE I COME THE HELL IN THERE AND DESTROY YOU AND YOUR PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A BLADDER!" She yells at the top off her lungs, no regard for the fact that it's 1:30am
Brian comes running out rather fast after that, let's be honest, we're l slightly afraid of her, I don't think I know anyone (mentally stable) who isn't, even Chloe was weary of her dark side
I think Colton's kinda into it though, and her
Brian grabs the keys, we all get in and shut the fires and off we go, burn driving, V riding shotgun and me and Colton in the back
"You should tell her" I whisper to him as Veronica starts nodding off
"Tell her what?" He whispers back, faking being oblivious
"That you like her" I reply with a smirk
"What? Me like Veronica St.Clair? Hahahaha no, just no dude" he covers but not very well
"You have such a huge crush on her, it's adorable" I mock him
"I do not! And even if I did so what?" He raised his voice a little, accidentally waking up an almost fully asleep Veronica
"Huh? What's going on?" She asks in confusion
"Oh, sorry V, I didn't mean to wake you up" he apologised
She just nodded and then tried to go back to sleep
"See I think she likes you too" I start whispering again once she seems to be out
"No she doesn't dude, just drop it" he replies in annoyance
"If that was me or Brian she'd have bitten our head off, but not you" I point out
"You think?" He asks
"So you do like her?" I smirk a little, knowing I've caught him
"Yes fine okay? I like Veronica" he accepts defeat
"I like you too" she replies front the front
"Woah, I thought you were asleep" I exclaim in shock
"I am" she replies with a soft chuckle
"This just got interesting" I mumble
