The Professor's Lab

The next day...

(y/n) was out on the porch with her mom.

"What beautiful weather!" (y/n)'s mom stretched. "I wonder what today will bring me?"

"Isn't it nice, guys?" (y/n) asked the two Pokemon sitting on her shoulders. Rowlet cooed happily and Pichu smiled. The doorbell rang, making everyone turn their heads.

"A visitor! If it's Kukui, he'll probably let himself in without even waiting for us to open the door!"(y/n)'s mom said. (y/n) walked in and noticed Kukui wasn't there, so she walked outside to see who rang the doorbell. She was surprised when she discovered that it was Lillie.

"Lillie!" (y/n) exclaimed.

"Oh, um...The professor said...'Hey there, Lillie! Bring me that great new Trainer. Woo!'So I'm here to show you the way to his Pokemon lab, if you'll come with me. It's, um... It's this way." Lillie turned to walk off.

"(y/n)!" (y/n)'s mom shouted. "Here. A little  pocket money for you. Don't go wasting it on anything too silly!" she handed (y/n) some money. She then noticed Lillie and turned around towards her. "Oh! Well done,(y/n).  You're already making friends, aren't you? And what a cute little friend you've found! I knew Alola would be a great place for us. We just keep meeting wonderful people here!"

"M-Me? Well, thank you... My name is Lillie. It's very nice to meet you," Lillie bowed. (y/n)'s mom looked back at (y/n).

"Looks like it's finally your time to shine, sweetie! Enjoy yourself out there with your Pokemon. And don't be gone too long!" She smiled.

"Alright, mom!" (y/n) waved and followed Lillie.

"Your mom... is very nice..." Lillie said while on your way to the lab.

"Thank," (y/n) smiled.

"A-And about Nebby... Oh, I mean Cosmog... Cosmog seems to be a very rare Pokemon. It came from far, far away. It seems to have a very strange power... It used that power to save me once when I was in danger. But... Some other people want Cosmog for themselves, to use that power. That's why only the professor and Kahuna Hala and other people I can trust know about it..." Lillie explained. "Can you keep a secret? Can you not tell anyone else about Nebby or what happened on that bridge? Please..."

"Don't worry Lillie. I won't tell anyone! I'll help protect Nebby!" (y/n) gave Lillie a thumbs up.

"Thanks..." Lillie smiled. The two reached Professor Kukui's place.

"Well, let's go in!" (y/n) said as she went to open the door.

"B-Be warned... The Pokemon Research Lab has its own unique charm... I've been imposing here for the past three months...I'm not much of an assistant, but it's the least I can do to pay him back for letting me stay." Lillie said. "Maybe I'd be more help if I were a real Pokemon Trainer, too..."

"You're doing just fine..." (y/n) mumbled as she opened the door. The two walked inside and (y/n) saw a pleasant surprise when entering. Her brother, Sun, was in there already. She gasped and ran over towards her brother, giving him a big hug.

"Long time no see," Sun laughed, returning the hug.

"Where were you yesterday?"

"Something came up for me and I couldn't make it," Sun answered.

"Hey there, (y/n)! Thanks for getting her for me, Lillie!" Kukui smiled. "Say, (y/n) let me see your Pokedex for a second, yeah?"

"Okay," (y/n) nodded and handed Kukui her Pokedex.

"Are you going to do it to hers too?" Sun asked. Kukui nodded.

"Do what?" Lillie asked.

"See, there's this Pokemon inside (y/n)'s Pokedex called Rotom..." Kukui explained.
