First Evolution

(y/n) and Sun walked out and Ilima greeted them again. He explained to them about the barricades. He then demonstrated by having someone remove a barricade.

"Voila! Your world just got a little bigger," Ilima smiled. "I am the only captain here on Melemele Island, meaning my trial is the only one here. Now that you have cleared the trial, please inform our island kahuna, Hala!"

"We will," (y/n) nods. Kukui suddenly came by.

"Hey there, (y/n) and Sun!  Oooh, looking at Ilima's expression I'd say you cleared your first trial, yeah?" Kukui asked.

"Yup!" Sun grinned.

"Guess I better give you a little reward... Time to learn about Z-Power. Woo!" Kuikui said. he explained about Z-Moves, demonstrated the Normal Z-Move, and explained more.

"I forgot that I lost Lillie on Route 3!" Kukui said.

"We'll help look for her!" (y/n) smiled.

"I can look around the cave for you in case she wandered that way," Ilima said.

"Thanks, cousin. Let's split up and find her, yeah!" Kukui turned around and went off. (y/n) and Sun were looking all around Route three. They went into Melemele Meadow and found Lillie.

"Nebby! Nebby, come back!" Lillie softly shouted. Hearing footsteps approach her caused her to turn around. "Ah, (y/n)... Nebby ran off into the meadow here..."

"Don't worry, Lillie. We'll go get Nebby and return them here to you safely," Sun rested a hand on Lillie's shoulder.

"Thanks..." Lillie sighed. (y/n) and Sun walked through the meadow and managed to bring Nebby back to Lillie.

"There! Safe and sound!" (y/n) beamed.

"Oh, you!" Lillie looked at Nebby. "Thanks you two."

"No problem Lillie! What are friends for?" (y/n) pets her Rowlet that's on her shoulder.

"I should Thank Rowlet too. Here, let me at least do this..." Lillie healed up (y/n)'s Pokemon. "You know, I read something interesting in a book once. It seems the Pokemon called Oricorio changes appearance by feeding on the nectar from different types of flowers. It's not actually evolving but undergoing a so-called 'form change.' Isn't that interesting? I thought it was, anyway...."

'Pew!' Nebby bounced a little.

"Back into the bag, please, Nebby. I know there aren't many people around to see you here, but that's hardly an excuse! And I guess we should be going now," Lillie said.

"Why don't we walk you back to him?" Sun offered.

"Thanks," Lillie smiled. The three walked out, but was greeted by Hau.

"He-e-ey, (y/n)! And Sun and Lillie!" Hau smiled.

"Howdy, Hau!" (y/n) smiled back.

"What are you up to, Hau?" Lillie asked.

"Just finished up my trial! Heh! Hey, (y/n)! I wanna see if I really learned anything from my trial. Let me battle you again!" Hau said.

"Sure!" (y/n) nods. "Go, Rowlet!" (y/n) points. Her Rowlet flies off her shoulder.

"Go, Pikachu!" Hau calls out his Pikachu. (y/n) still manages to beat Hau.

"Great job Rowlet!" (y/n) praises her Pokemon. Her Rowlet cooed and began to glow.

"Looks like Rowlet's evolving," Sun says. (y/n)'s Rowlet evolved into Dartrix.

'Zrrt! You're Rowlet is now a Dartrix! Its data has been added to the Pokedex! Zrrrt!' (y/n)'s Rotomdex says.

"Looks like we're getting pretty strong!" Hau exclaims. "But I wonder if I'll ever really be able to beat my gramps at this rate..."

"You can do it! We can do it!" (y/n) gives Hau a thumbs up.

"Well, we should go see Kahuna Hala now," Sun chuckles.

"Yup!" (y/n) smiles. Her Dartrix sits on her shoulder, barely fitting.

Just wait until he's a Decidueye.
