                                                                                   Prologue

In this world, feeling an emotion is almost impossible at this point. If one can feel, it's bad. Very bad.

We have been taught that why we don't feel is because emotions are uncontrolled, unregulated, unproductive, dangerous, and even fatal.

All of our lives we must avoid them. We weren't born with them after all, they can't be good for us if it wasn't meant to be a part of our existence, could it? One thing that the new, better, and improved race of humans knows for sure is this; that since we were not able to feel emotions, we've been safe. Life is not bad, most have food and shelter, we have advanced medicine, there are still plenty of enjoyments.

So why would anyone ever want to throw away all of that to feel the dreaded "uncontrolled, unregulated, unproductive, dangerous, and fatal" ways of emotions?

It didn't make any sense to me either. Not back then anyway...
