Eh? Footsteps...?

The sound of light footsteps woke me up from my slumber. I sprinted ferociously towards the sound, and there stood...
The girl.
"Ahh, don't hurt me!" She flinched before she noticed my cold stare.
"Mystery man! It's you." She spoke in excitement.
"What are you doing in my cave?" I immediately asked the girl.
"I told you... that I needed a place to stay. I didn't know that you'd be in here... This cave wasn't far from where I was." The girl explained in between yawns.
"Tsk, what's your name, girl?" I asked
"My name is Delilah." She responded with a smile.
"Fine... you can stay the night." I reluctantly gave up.
"Yay! Thank you so much!!" Delilah spat as she pulled me into a deep hug. My arms remained at my side as I looked at her in disgust.
Touching me like that... she really is a brave one. Tch...
"Yeah... don't do that ever again." I told her before walking back to my previous position.
For some reason I couldn't sleep.
I watched Delilah as she laid her head on a rock, before falling asleep...
She looked peaceful.
Hmm... what's this? Her blood type is AB.
AB is literally the best tasting blood type ever... and it's extremely rare.
The strong scent of her blood began to fill up my nostrils...

I-I want to taste it. I have the ability to heal the neck wound after I finish drinking. But quite frankly, I don't give a shit about my prey enough to do that... and I won't put myself in such a predicament.

But her blood is tempting.

Dammit Slade, you've drank more than enough tonight. Don't be greedy....

Besides, if I feed from Delilah... She should be a willing participant.
There's just something about that odd girl.

Lost in my thoughts... I soon fell asleep.

* the night goes by *

I woke up to a delicate finger poking my cheek.
Is she fucking retarded? I can kill her any second now!
"You're up! Mystery man." Delilah said while looking me into my deep violet eyes.

"Tsk... Why are you so damn persistent?" I asked while sitting up.

"Well... I don't know. I just want to know more about you." She explained while twisting a piece of her smooth, dark hair.

"Trust me. I'm bad news. The less you know, the better." I strictly told Delilah.

She suddenly sighed then looked me at me sternly.

"I can tell that you carry a lot of hatred. It's not good to bear all of that negative energy." Delilah said to me.

"It's none of your damn business! I have an oath to fulfill, and I intend to do so." I spat out carelessly

"...An oath?" She questioned me.

Shit... I've said too much.
"I promised myself that I'd do something..." I spoke vaguely.
"I can help you." Delilah spoke with a serious tone.
"What could you possibly do for me?" I chuckled.
What a joke. Does she seriously think she can help me? Ha...
"I have biokinesis; If you get severely wounded, I can heal you." Delilah said to me.
"A healer, huh?" I questioned
She reassured me.

Well, on this dangerous task I might get injured badly... far worse than what my healing mechanism can endure.
A healer can be useful.

"I plan on killing the King of the underworld and overthrowing the royals." I told Delilah sternly, with a burning passion within my eyes.
Delilah swallowed her saliva.

"...I'll come with you." Delilah responded.
"Do you not fear me?" I asked curiously.
"I don't. You did save my life after all, mystery man." Delilah said cheerfully.

Tch...

"Slade." I said plainly.
"Huh?" Delilah questioned.
"Slade. My name is Slade." I told her once more.

"Ah, I see. Thank you for telling me." Delilah spoke while showing a huge smile.

"I'm bringing you along. Only because a healer will be helpful." I told Delilah nonchalantly.

"Really? Thank you , thank you!" She spat out gratefully.
"This won't be an easy journey. You're risking your life by traveling with me." I warned her

"I know... My life is at risk everyday while roaming through Grimdor anyway." She told me.
I started at her for a split second just before walking away.
"Where are you going?" Delilah shouted.

"You're hungry, right?" I replied with my back turned to her.
"Y-yes. But it's okay." She said shyly.
With that being said, I exited the cave.

I entered the damp forest and began to scavenge for something edible while using my sense of smell.

Berries... hopefully they're not poisonous.
Coconut... an apple? This should be enough, right?
I dashed back to the cave, not wanting anything to happen to Delilah while I was gone.
As I entered the cave, Delilah pleasantly greeted me.
"You're back, Slade!" Delilah spoke happily

"Here." I uttered while handing her the food that I picked.

"Thank you.. So much." Delilah said gratefully, while taking the food.

"Stop thanking me. It's annoying." I told her before walking off.

"Oh.." She murmured.
"Where are you going this time?" Delilah asked

"Somewhere. Don't leave the cave." I told her sternly.

Truth is, I needed to collect more blood. I couldn't be around her... Her AB blood was too tempting.

I ventured into the forest once more, in search for my next prey.

I came across a man, around the age of twenty-six. Blood type A-.
Eh, I don't like to have fun with male prey... so let's just do this quick and easy.

I ambushed him from above and swiftly stabbed him in his heart. He bled out instantly and I drank a bit from it...

Gross. His blood was salty.

I wiped my mouth in disgust, just before going back to the cave.
As I entered, I noticed something wasn't right. The cave was empty.

What the fuck... Delilah isn't here.
Where the hell did she go?!

I began to grind my teeth in anger and clenched my fists extremely tight.

I told her not to leave, right? So someone must have taken her.

I swear I'll kill the motherfucker who dared to touch her.

I rushed out of the cave and began to search for Delilah...

Hang in there... I'm coming.
