Thanks for all the reads (280 something I believe). And thanks @Laura_Palmer_Hangin for going through and voting on actually every chapter. The video above is not from the St. Louis show, but I love it!
Kyle POV:
I love watching Dan walk around the crowd during flaws a lot, but one of the things I love more is watching people's facial expressions when they touch him. Like, just his arm or something. Right now is Lesser of Two Evils, which I love hearing Dan sing. I'm sitting on the edge of the stage, talking to some girls. They're mostly asking me to "Say Hi to Jennifer." And recording me. I find it kind of funny in a way, because I'm just a person. Dan climbs back on stage near me. "Lethargy next, right?" He asks. "Yeah." I say. I feel like I'm the only one who actually bothers to remember the set lists.
Things We Lost In The Fire just wrapped up, which is one of my favorites. Now is The Draw, which I also love purely due to being an actual sort of 'rock band' for about 30 seconds at the end. And the hand triangles. Will kicks in with the guitar riff as I pick up my bass. It's not the best, but it's good enough for me. Woody hops down from his drum platform to do hand triangles during the chorus. I already see some people doing hand triangles. They've obviously seen us before and know whats up. I notice Woody standing on a speaker near me. Once the chorus kicks in, He's making our hand triangle symbol with the crowd. During the second verse, I'm actually hitting a drum with a bass on my back while playing a keyboard with one hand. I bet I look really weird, but who cares? My bass feels heavy on my shoulder by the end of the second chorus, but I'm ready to jump out and rock. I count down from four... three... two... "I CAN FEEL THE DRAW!" I dart out into the middle of the stage, running up to Will, who's stood near the drums. Woody sprints back to his drums, having forgotten that he needed to play. Charlie seems to be laughing at him and how terribly he runs. After a few more seconds of rocking out, which I love too much, I hop up onto Dan's dancing box and realize that I'm wearing freaking sneakers the color of mac and cheese. I decide that nobody cares and throw my pick into the crowd. A scramble around the seventh row starts. I look offstage and see Laura with a big smile on her face.
(After the show, in the hotel room Dan and Laura are staying in for the night/tomorrow before the flight to London)
Laura POV:
Dan is obviously drunk on crappy backstage tequila, but I really don't care. My mom hadn't been sober for about two months in the weeks leading to the... incident. It's about 1 AM currently and took us about a half hour just to drive to the hotel due to the icy roads. I'm currently flopped on the couch of the hotel room where I'm going to be crashing tonight. I hear the shower running, so I assume Dan's in there. I decide to text Drew and see if he's awake. When I open messages, I see he's already typing.
Drew: Idk if the show's over, but if it was, was it good?
Me: Yeah. I'm laying on a sofa in a hotel room a couple blocks from the venue. It took us about a half hour to get there.
Drew: Why?
Me: Icy roads. Dan's intoxicated ass couldn't drive so we got to walk on the most slippery sidewalks in the world for two blocks with an extremely unstable roller bag.
Drew: He's flipping drunk?
Drew: Bad move, Daniel Campbell Smith.
Me: Actually shut up.
Drew: Sorry. If I met my kid for the first time in person, I wouldn't get drunk the first night.
Me: It was the last night of the tour. Will was nearly drunk enough to get another flipping tattoo on his other arm.
Drew: Oh god. Please tell me he didn't.
Me: As far as I know, He still only has 'Bad Blood' and the spider.
Drew: If he does, send me a pic.
Me: What am I gonna say? "Oh, my friend has a blog stalking y'all and wants a pic of your new tattoo all up close?"
Drew: NO
Drew: NO
Drew: NO
Me: stop.
Drew: NO
Drew: NO
Me: no.
Drew: Yes
Me: Well.
Just then, Dan screeches, jumping out of the bedroom. "HEYYYYYYYYYYY." He's wearing really weird cat pajama pants that look like they belong to Kyle, and an Eraserhead shirt. "Who you texting?" He asks.
Me: Brb Dan's being weird.
"Drew." I reply.
"Who's Drew? Is he your boyfriend?" He pesters me, poking my arm.
"No." I reply, rolling my eyes.
"About?" He says, grabbing my phone. "Pssssh... I'm not that drunk." He says, scrolling through my texts.
"WHY DOES HE KNOW MY MIDDLE NAME?" He yells.
"Because you're famous, you weirdo." I reply.
"I'm going to sleeeeep." He says.
"DRINK LOTS OF WATER!" I call has he leaves for the bedroom. Drunk people are actually just toddlers who think they're adults. It's almost comedic.

Yes. I named this after a Panic! At The Disco lyric.
