Hey guys! I'm back from Berlin! It was sooooooo flipping amazing! I'm sorry there hasn't been any new chapters over the week, I didn't have internet access and Dani doesn't have to mobile app, so neither of us have been able to update. I have a terrible cold and all the sneezing is not wicked. On a more positive note, thank you so much for 1.2k reads! I was absolutely ecstatic when I logged on and saw this! I love you all SO MUCH! And Merlin's pants, I'm so exited for Glory! It's my favorite off Wild World!

Laura POV:

Unfortunately, I woke up basically on top of Dan. He's awake (and smells really good for some reason) and probably noticed I woke up. I must've fallen asleep while leaning on him. He's the kind of person that wouldn't want to wake me up, which is really sweet.

"How'd you sleep?" He asks.

"Pretty good." I say. "Sorry I sort of fell asleep leaning on you." I sit up.

"No problem. I had everything I needed." He replies, sipping water out of a mug.

"I have a rehearsal today." He says.

"Would you like to come with me?" He asks.

"Sure!" I say. I had so much fun seeing the guys preform in St. Louis, that I would actually pay money to see them. That is, if I had any money to spend.

"Perfect." He looks at his watch.

"We need to be there in a half hour." Dan says, getting off the couch. His accent makes 'hour' (I pronounce it ow-er) sound more like 'ow-ah'. He dashes off into his bedroom to get ready, so I do the same. I pick out a white and gray flannel shirt and black jeans. I quickly braid my dark hair and shove on a bunch of wristbands. In a frenzy, I brush my teeth and shove on my glasses at the same time, needing time for breakfast. Once I slide across the hall into the kitchen, I quickly pour milk onto my bowl of cereal, which Jenna and Kaylee say is 'backwards, and you should always pour the milk first.' Besides, you can get more cereal in your bowl if you pour cereal first. Dan's taking forever in his bathroom, so I've finished my cereal before he sprints out holding his shoes, wallet, phone, and a laptop bag.

"Nice man-purse" I say, poking fun at it.

"Oh! Thank you! I take so much pride in it." Dan replies sarcastically, shoving everything into the bag. I rise out my bowl and put in in the dishwasher.

"Oh crap! We better go!" Dan exclaims, grabbing something out of the fridge. We dash out the door and nearly break a sweat getting down the stairs (the elevator wasn't working). We then burst out into the parking lot, sprinting to Dan's car.

Dan POV: At the studio

Shit. I'm always late to things, and have been trying to be on time once. It's easy to guess what happened. I had forgotten my car keys, so set my bag down and ran back up to my apartment. My apartment keys were in my bag, so I had to sprint back down to grab my bag. Luckily, Laura had started running after me with my keys, and met up around the second floor. That had caused us to be around ten minutes late. Fortunately, Mark was about 5 minutes behind us; making us look a little less late.

"Surprise, surprise." Kyle says, turning a corner into the rehearsal room.

"Dan's late aga-oh, hi Laura!" Kyle looks happy to see her.

"Hello." She replies, picking her fingernails.

"So, what's your excuse this time?" Kyle asks as if he's interrogating me.

"It's a quite interesting and long story." I say.

"I have time." Kyle replies, sitting backward on a chair.

"SALUTATIONS!" Mark yells entering the studio. His greeting is then followed by a loud crash, which is followed by laughter and a single groan of Mark's disgust.

"You alright in there, Mark?" A voice yells. Woody.

"Yeah." Mark says, clearly not.

"Woody?" I yell. I thought he was with his wife over Christmas.

"Yes, Dan?" Woody replies.

"I thought you were with Chrissy?" I say, confused.

"You idiot." Woody replies, stepping into the room. "I told you like, 100 times that I would be back before Christmas." He reminds me.

"Ooooooh. I remember now!" I exclaim, not actually remembering. Woody seems to finally notice Laura and greets her.

"Hello small human." Woody says, nodding his head at her. Laura chuckles.

"I highly doubt I'm much shorter than you." She teases.

"There's no way you, a twelve year old girl is taller than me." Woody mutters.

"Ya wanna bet?" She replies.

"Yeah, I wanna bet!" Woody replies. "I bet you £20 that I'm taller than you." He says over confidently. I can tell Laura is doing the math in her head. (That's nearly $25)

"Alright. It's a bet." Laura replies after a moment.

-

"I think... Woody is taller." I declare.

"Sorry, Laura." (Woody is about 5'6, says he's at least 5'8)

Woody jumps up. "Boom!"

"Wait wait wait!" Kyle exclaims.

"Get back to back again." Woody stands next to Laura. They're very similar in height. After some consideration, Kyle announces what he thinks.

"I think Laura is just a bit taller." He nods.

"Charlie! Will! Get in here!" Woody calls. The pair enters after a moment.

"Who is taller, Laura or me?" Woody says, standing proudly and stubbornly.

"Laura." Charlie says right off the bat. "She's got at least a couple centimeters on you." He says.

"I'm with Charlie" Will says. Laura turns around to face Woody.

"That would be £20, please." Laura says smugly.

"You made a bet?!?!" Charlie starts laughing as if thats the funniest thing to ever happen. Woody rolls his eyes, handing Laura a £20 note. Woody looks Charlie dead in the eye, replying to Charlie's stupid question.

"Unfortunately."

See what I did there? First and last word unfortunately? I find this a lot cooler/funnier than it really is.
