Chapter 9: Try Outs

You woke up with the painful sounds of an alarm clock filling the room.

"Can you turn that off Hana?" You ask your girlfriend who's right next to the alarm.

However, you get no response, since she's still sleeping. How the hell can she sleep through this? You yawn as you stretch your arms above your head. You then groggily get up and shut up the alarm clock, which reads 6:30. However, Hana is still asleep. There was no way she was going to sleep in. You two were going to have to suffer the early wake up together. She had to go to your training, too.

"Hana, wake up. Time for work." You say, shaking her up and down.

She stirs a bit, but her eyes are still closed and she's still sleeping. Part of you wants to slap her awake just to see her reaction, but you're not that evil. Instead, you grab a glass of cold water and pour it on her face. This of course gets her up. She quickly tries to dry her face with her hands and throws off the covers.

"(Y/N) WHAT THE HELL?!?" Hana yells.

"Time to get up." You say, casually walking to the bathroom, doing your best to hide your laughter.

Hana runs up and starts punching you in the arm, though not too hard.

"I had the alarm set so it could wake us up." She said.

"I know. It woke me up. You on the other hand, did not. I tried shaking you awake. Didn't work either. So I had to resort to cold water." You say grabbing a towel for Hana.

Hana rips the towel away from you and dries her face off. Hana glares at you. You guys do your morning routine and start to have breakfast. Hana looks up from her cereal bowl and then sighs.

"Sorry. I get mad when people wake me up." She says.

"I know that. Remember that one day we had to wake you up when we were going on the field trip way back when?" You ask.

"Ugh. I was so pissed off I put on two different pairs of socks on, not to mention I was rushed. One pink bunny on the left, the other green Legend of Zelda Triforce on the right. It would've been fine if I wasn't wearing a skirt and people couldn't see it. My hair was a mess and my lunch was stuff from the vending machines because I left mine at home. Not to mention the museum was boring. Who wants to look at old rocks?"

"Hey, the dinosaurs were kinda cool."

"It would've been cooler if they moved or something. Maybe be alive."

"Hana, we're not having a Jurassic Park. Didn't work in 1993, won't work now."

"They still could've had some animatronics or something."

"They did."

"Really?"

"Yeah. You were in the bathroom."

"Oh right. I knew I shouldn't have had that bottle of Mountain Dew for lunch. That sure didn't help things."

You two continued reminiscing about the field trip way back when until you looked at the time.

"Crap. We gotta get moving. We have to figure out my role in Overwatch." You say.

"Oh yeah. Can't wait to see you fail." Hana says and giggles.

You get down to the practice range where you see Winston, McCree, and Angela.

"Guten morgen (y/n). You ready to work?" Angela says.
