Chapter 20: Panel (pt. 1)

No one POV
After several minutes of waiting, the packed panel rooms lights begin to dim and the crowd cheers. A short starts on the screen in the desert. A tumbleweed blows by as the camera pans out to reveal a cowboy leaning on a building. Ecstasy of Gold from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is playing.

We see the front of him with his hat low, covering his eyes. Inner monologue of Felix is heard, and a roar from the crowd occurs when they hear his voice. The camera slowly pans closer to him as he speaks.

Felix (monologue): P0W3R. One of competitive gaming's most popular and successful teams. They were more than a team, though. They were a family, and with their fans, a community. A legacy left at its peak. But then, it ended, leaving its fans devastated at the separation. Ever since then, gaming hasn't been the same. Normal lives to live? Give me a break. It's come to my conclusion that there's only one answer to keep gaming sane.

Camera zooms in on Felix's face as he looks up.

Felix: We have to have a reunion.

Felix starts to walk away and begins to walk in the street. Camera cuts to Carolina tending horses (crowd cheers). She looks up and Felix nods. She pets the horse once and begins to follow Felix.

Felix walks into a saloon with Elliot running the bar, Sakura at the piano, and (y/n) and Hana sharing a drink with hands intertwined. This entire scene gets an eruption from the crowd. They look at Felix and he nods. The four stand up and start to head out, with Elliot flipping a closed sign.

The six walk and the camera cuts to Werner as a blacksmith. Another cheer from the crowd. He looks up and sees the six people walking by. He looks at his work and stops it. Then he walks out and joins the six. Tracking shot showing the seven walking with Felix in the middle. They get to a portal-like thing with lightning coming out of it.

Elliot: Ready?

Sakura: It's about time.

They walk through the portal one at a time, changing from western wear to their gaming uniforms. The lights begin to flicker and lasers start to flash as thunderstruck by AC/DC starts to play and the team takes the stage, with the crowd going crazy. The seven walk onto the stage and wave to the cheering crowd as they take their designated seats and grab the microphones on their chairs.

Crowd (chanting): P0W3R! P0W3R! P0W3R! P0W3R!

Crowd starts to settle down. Elliot waves to the crowd.

Elliot: Hello everybody!

Carolina: Hi!

(Y/n): How's everybody doing?

Crowd cheers again and settles down.

Werner: That short was so cheesy.

Felix: Wouldn't be ours if it weren't cheesy.

Werner: Good point.

Hana: How long has it been since we were all together?

Elliot: Three days ago when we shot that.

Laughter from crowd.

Sakura: I think that last stream we did when we were a team was the last time people saw us together.

Werner: So about a year ago. Let's go over what some of us have done. Some of us have done more than others, huh?

Everyone looks at Hana who's smiling and blushing, looking down. The crowd cheers and (y/n) puts an arm around her.

Carolina: I mean, I changed my gamertag.

Sakura: Really? What did you change it to?

Carolina: Locust.
